The hustle and bustle of the holiday season is upon us and I’m embracing and loving it.

Last week was enjoyable and exciting for our little family. The first day of the week took us downtown and then more family fun happened afterwards and continued later in the week.
Downtown Asheville is Decked Out for the Holidays
It’s always a joy for me to see downtown decked out for the Holidays. It may not be as elaborate as New York City Christmas, but it is still delightful. They put up gorgeous winter lights at Pack Square Park too. I haven’t seen it yet this year, but we’ve seen them the previous years.

Fall is Still Hanging On
Downtown is beginning to look a lot like Christmas, but we’re still seeing some beautiful fall foliage.

Movie Date with My Boys
My husband and son are so into war films. I think it’s a man thing, huh? On Veteran’s Day, they dragged me to the theater to see Midway. It’s actually a great film and I did enjoy watching it with them. Hubby blogged about that movie on Wednesday and added some history lessons as well.
Holiday Shopping
The Hubs and I continued our Holiday shopping and our feet took us to Asheville Outlets. We checked Kirkland’s and I had to take a photo of that tree because it is just so pretty.

We’re still not done shopping and we’re planning to continue this week. And I think we are going to decorate for Christmas too. I usually decorate the weekend before Thanksgiving, but last year, I decorated a week before Thanksgiving. So, we’ll see about that.
How about you? How was the week for you? Have you decorated for Christmas yet?
I always like checking out the Christmas decor. I don’t go into full holiday mode until after Thanksgiving though.
The city streets, whether it is big or small, when they are decked out for the holidays are always welcome. My little town always has something special and it ushers in the season.
Glad you had a good week. I am loving all the Christmas decorations that are starting to go up!
aww glad it was a great week friend- were putting our tree and christmas decorations this weekend and i cant wait!
I was just there last weekend doing a little holiday shopping. I love the new outlet mall you have there.
I truly love all things holiday season, so it’s great fun to see the decorations going up! ‘Tis the season for shopping, for sure!
I haven’t started decorating for Christmas yet. I can’t wait to get my tree up though.
There is something about when your local area starts getting all festive and they switch on the lights! It really feels like Christmas is coming then.
I enjoy looking at Christmas decor any time of year. My family insists we wait until after Thanksgiving to decorate though!
I can’t believe that fall is still hanging on! That’s crazy to see colored leaves like that on the trees. I’m in Canada and the trees are already bare where I am.
I too enjoy shopping for Christmas decor for the holidays, and putting aside a little time to see a movie or two. I send warm happy wishes to you and your family during this fun holiday season!
I am so excited for the coming Holiday season! I can’t wait! Looks like you had a really fun week. Hope I could see those gorgeous winter lights, too!
Thank you for sharing your Christmas decorations. I love to travel and see all the ways that towns celebrate. Asheville looks very special!
All those photos are so beautiful. I love seeing all the holiday decorations. Really gets you in the holiday spirit too. I can’t wait to spend more time with family during the holidays.
I just love Asheville – all the shops and the gorgeous mountain views. It’s especially beautiful at Christmas!
Now begins the best period of year. I love shopping and I love holidays!
I am sooo excited for the Holiday season to come! We also started our Holiday shopping already and it’s really fun! Hope you had a wonderful week.
I haven’t done too much decorating since I know that I wouldn’t be able to keep my 2-year-old from the Christmas tree. In fact, he somehow managed to break some ornaments on my tabletop tree earlier today. Needless to say, I’m going to opt for more of a minimalistic approach this holiday season. 🙂
I love movie dates! The Christmas tree looks so festive, I love it.
