How was your Thanksgiving celebration? I hope it was a wonderful time spent with your family.
I was going to blog about this last Friday, but life got hectic so this post had to take a back seat. It was a good hectic kind of way, though, and I’m thankful for it.
Just like the previous years, we had to celebrate Thanksgiving the weekend after Thanksgiving. Everyone couldn’t make it on Thanksgiving Day itself so my sister-in-law had to move the gathering. And as always, she prepared a sumptuous dinner feast again for everyone to enjoy.
I wasn’t able to take a picture of the turkey or the dressing and all the side dishes, not because I was hungry and couldn’t wait to gobble (LOL), but because I was caught up talking to my little nieces ages 5 and 7. They’re so young, but they’re so smart for their ages and it was really fun talking to them, like I was talking to adults.
But, I remembered taking photos of the desserts, y’all. Ha! And here they are. Enjoy! đŸ™‚
As per my SIL, she followed my late MIL’s (my husband’s Mom) recipe in preparing the pumpkin pie. My late MIL was known for being a good cook. Too bad I didn’t get to meet her.
I can’t remember exactly what this was called, but it was like a cinnamon roll. My husband’s a huge fan of cinnamon so this was the dessert that he tried first.
You may have seen this raspberry cheesecake on Instagram already. I had a bite of this and it was delish. I didn’t have a bite of all the desserts because the turkey and all the other sides filled me. I need to work on leaving room for desserts.
Oh, and here’s the dinner roll. I actually didn’t notice it until my little niece told me that it’s one of her favorites. I like dinner rolls too.
My SIL has always been a gracious host and we truly appreciate it.
Hope y’all enjoyed your Thanksgiving dinner.
