Watching movies is one of the many things that we enjoy doing as family…sometimes in the comfort of our own home and sometimes at the theater. We do choose which ones we prefer to watch either on the big screen versus the ones we watch on pay-per-view.
As 2020 started, I am already looking forward to seeing these films. And I know exactly which one I want to see on the big screen.
For lack of a photo to use, that’s why this photo is here. But no, there is no Vampire Diaries to be shown on the big screen. Not yet, anyway, Maybe one of these days, they’ll think of making this super hit TV show into a film. It’s not far from possible, is it? I would certainly be super excited if they’ll make a movie out of this show.
I took this photo when we made a trip to Covington, Georgia a.k.a. Mystic Falls. If you’re a fan of the show, The Vampire Diaries, then you know what I’m talking about.
Anyhoo, here are the must-see movies in 2020 for me. The movies that I can hardly wait to watch with my husband and son.
Top Gun: Maverick
If you remember, Top Gun is on my list of movies that never get old. I lost count of how many times I’ve watched the film. I still even have the recording on our DVR. It’s going to stay there forever.
Did I also mention that the bedroom that I shared with my sister back in my hometown was full of Tom Cruise posters from his Top Gun movie? Yep! Those were the days. 🙂
Now I’m counting the days until Top Gun: Maverick is in theaters. We are going to watch this one on the big screen, for sure.
A Quiet Place Part II
I am a scaredy-cat, alright, and I’m not a fan of scary movies, but I was so curious about this film after everyone talked about it. So I gathered all the courage I’ve had and watched Part I with my husband and son on pay-per-view. It actually wasn’t super scary and I really enjoyed watching it. Not to mention, it was such an amazing performance by Emily Blunt. So here I am, so looking forward to watching Part II.
Coming 2 America
I forgot to put this on the list, but this is one of those movies that never get old for me too. Eddie Murphy was just hilarious. I watched this movie a million times, and we just recently watched it again. And I am so delighted to hear that they’re making a sequel.
Wonder Woman 1984
Who doesn’t love Wonder Woman? We love superhero films over here and have watched all the Marvel movies.
I watched Linda Carter as Wonder Woman when I was a little girl, and I enjoyed the first film with Gal Gadot. I think she nailed it as Wonder Woman.
Black Widow
Another superhero that we like. And just like Gal Gadot, I think Scarlet Johansson nailed it as Black Widow too. We enjoyed her as one of the amazing Avengers and I can’t wait to see her in this film.
How about you? Do you have a movie or movies that you look forward to watching this year?

It has been so long since I’ve watched a few of these oldie but goodie movies. I’ll have to wait another year or so but I think my youngest would enjoy the planes in Top Gun (sorry Maverick triggered my memory). 🙂

Hi Amber. I’m not sure if it’s a puzzle. I think it’s just made to look like a puzzle. I should have asked the salesgirl at that gift shop. 🙂
