I wrote a day in the life post before detailing what’s the typical Friday like for me. Today, I decided to share what my Mondays usually look like because I must say, it’s my busiest day of the week, and you might be surprised, but I like it like that. I actually look forward to Mondays armed with all the motivation to be productive and the energy that I gathered from the chill-out weekend. A relaxing and lazy weekend equals a productive week ahead for me.
No, my Monday doesn’t start with me being a golf cart driver at the golf course. LOL. I just couldn’t find a picture of me for today’s post. But when warm weather comes, I might see myself on the golf course with my golfer buddy, a.k.a. the Hubs. We’ll see.
6:30 AM: Up and at ’em! I have my alarm set at 6:30 AM during the weekdays. I get up, stretch a little bit then prepare my son’s breakfast and lunch box.
7:00 AM: Wake my son up then watch the news – Good Morning, America to be be precise, and having my cup of coffee while waiting for him.
7:40AM: I drive him to school which takes us about 8 to 10 minutes or 12 if there’s traffic.
8:10AM: I’m back from school and now getting ready to start the laundry. Yep, Monday is my laundry day. I only have 3 or 4 loads usually. A perk when you have a small family, I guess.
9:00AM: Time to start doing my online tasks – checking my e-mails, social media channels and creating my post for the day, if I haven’t done so yet. I also visit my favorite blogs and read their posts for the day while continuing to drink my coffee.
9:30 AM: Breakfast time. Either I grab a bowl of steel oats or this spinach and cheese omelet or this sunny-side-up egg with baby spinach and arugula. I usually eat it in front of the PC while I’m doing my online tasks. That’s how I multi-task.
12:00 PM: I am in front of the PC the whole morning and by this time, I’m already hungry and ready to grab lunch. I usually just eat a leftover, but if there’s none then I cook me something – whatever we have available to cook in the fridge. It’s usually a simple dish like tuna with egg, or sardines with egg, etc.
2:00 PM: I now start preparing to go to school to pick my son up. I like going there early so I can have a good parking in front of the school. I just enjoy myself playing my favorite app or talking to my girlfriend on the phone to kill the time.
3:15 PM: Back home from school. It’s now time to fold the laundry. I usually do it in the living room while watching TV.
5:00 PM: Time to cook for dinner. And this delicious pan-seared steak with broccoli and tomatoes are what we’re going to have today.
6:00 PM: Dinner time.
6:30 PM: Watch ABC World News Tonight with David Muir. I always watch the news. The only time I miss watching the news is when we’re out and about.
7:00 PM: Watch a TV show or a movie with the hubs.
9:00PM: Bedtime.
That’s it!
How does Monday look like for you?

You are in bed at nine and I thought I was the only one who goes to bed early. I have a similar schedule even though my son makes fun of our early to bed.

I wake up at 620 during the week so I know what that’s like. I make my kids take the bus though. If there’s transportation, I won’t waste my gas taking them to school, ha. I go to bed at 11 though. 9 would be too early for me.
Lori Bosworth says
My schedule is similar to yours except I don’t have children so no driving them to school. I also go to bed early about 9 or 9:15 p.m.!

I remember those days. Sometimes I miss it and then I see the line of parents in the carpool line and I change my mind.

My daily schedule is pretty similar to yours. I have to drop off and pick up kids every day from school. I always wake up late though, give me about 30 minutes to get ready every morning.
