Gone are the days where only the women are given sweet surprises like gifts, flowers or chocolates, etc., on Valentine’s Day. At least in our household, that is.
So with Valentine’s Day coming this Friday, I decided to share some ways to surprise your husband.

For me, surprises doesn’t have to be extravagant to be special and to make someone happy because even the little things can make a big impact.
Give A Surprise
A bouquet of flowers, a bouquet of balloons, a bunch of chocolates or a gift. Any of these would delight him, for sure.
Take Him To A Bookstore
Without him knowing, take him to a bookstore and let him get a book or two. If your husband is a bookworm like mine, this is definitely a great idea.
Send Him A Text
Giving notes are still cute, but sending him a sweet text even though you’re both in the house is a cute gesture as well. Try it and you’ll be amused at his reaction.
Cook Him His Favorite
Bacon and eggs. That is his most requested breakfast all the time, but I refuse to give it to him every time he asks. I’ll consider on Valentine’s Day. 🙂
Give Him What He Always Wanted
It could be anything like a set of pencils to use for his Sudoku puzzles, a book of crossword puzzles, a tool, or even a bottle of beer or whiskey. LOL.
My husband and I always give each other surprises on Valentine’s Day and we don’t forget to give our son something too. This is going to be our 10th year of celebrating Valentine’s Day together and it’s one of those occasions that we always look forward to celebrating.
To the wifeys out there, any ideas you want to add here on surprising your husband on Valentine’s Day?

I have to try some of these ideas on my husband. It is nice to reciprocate with a sweet gesture to rekindle the romance.
I used to love to surprise my husband for Valentine’s Day. Five kids later it’s become more of a family day. Look out though the kids are growing up. 🙂
Valentine’s Day is basically just another day for us. We exchange chocolate, no one wants to cook, and we basically just relax because it’s too crowded to go out. I probably will send him a sweet text though.
I love these ideas. I do think a fun little surprise is in order. I could definitely cook some of his favorite dishes!
I really enjoyed your tips. These are all wonderful ideas. I have to get my list together before the end of the week.
Great tips! I hate to admit that I completely forgot Valentine’s Day last year. I need to figure out what we’re doing this year, so I don’t repeat that experience!
I hope your husband isn’t going to read this post, but I bet you have an extra surprise in mind just in case he does!
He already read it, but although I’d spilled the beans on some of it, the others are still going to be a complete surprise. 🙂

It’s an ordinary day for me, lol! But I see my sisters surprise their husbands by giving them gifts that their husbands want.
Food is definitely the way to go with my husband. I’ll just have to decide if I cook his favorite dish or take him out to his favorite restaurant.
Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays. Love is a wonderful thing to celebrate.
We don’t typically celebrate Valentine’s Day – but maybe this year I should try to do something for hubby. Just to figure out what I want to do
I’m trying to remember if I ever surprised my husband on Valentine’s Day. I don’t think I did. Perhaps things would have turned out better if I had.
