Hello y’all! It’s a rainy Monday in our neck of the woods and since I’m not going anywhere, I like it like that. I have always loved the sound of raindrops falling on the roof. It is just soothing. Anyone else?
So, one week of virtual school days have passed and so far, so good. Well, they actually started last Wednesday so it wasn’t a full week. And my son said it was pretty easy. Glad to hear that.
Time for another Currently post.
Listening…
To…The House That Built Me by Miranda Lambert.
I always tune in to Country Music Television on weekends to watch or better yet, listen to their Top 20 Countdown. This past weekend, they showed the Hot 20 Decade again and this song by Miranda Lambert was the number one song of the decade. No question about it. It is such a beautiful song.
Watching…
20/20 on ABC.
Other than watching Dateline on NBC, I like watching 20/20 on ABC too. I just find it interesting to watch those real life crime and detective stories.
Eating…
Pigs in a blanket.
My son requested these last week so here they are. I have made these pigs in a blanket before and shared the recipe here on the blog, but this time around, I added a yummy seasoning. I’ll share the recipe here soon.
Anticipating…
My son’s birthday.
We made a plan before to go out and eat at our son’s favorite restaurant, LongHorn Steakhouse. He loves their calamari, but since we can’t do that anymore, we’ll just have either a call-in takeout or have it delivered.
Enjoying…
The beautiful blooms of my periwinkle.
They’ve covered most of the bank in front of our kitchen window and it’s always a delight to look at them while I’m washing something in the sink.
Looking Forward To…
More DIY projects.
Like I wrote in my post last week regarding our plans for the next two weeks, we’ve already finished the master bedroom closet and even got a new dresser. I didn’t even include the latter in the plan because we never thought they would deliver the dresser the following day. That was super quick!
So for this week, we’re going to do our son’s closet and I’m going to repaint the master bedroom. The mister will also update our son’s bathroom’s faucet. He had already updated ours.
Continuing…
To…Stay at Home.
The mister and I only went out once last week to shop for groceries that is good for two weeks and that was it. We’d probably go out for groceries again after 10 days.
This past week, we’re learned that there’s already a confirmed COVID-19 case in our county and it’s scary. In uncertain times like this, other than following the best practices that the authorities are insisting on, I also pray. I do believe in the power of prayer.
How about you? Any Currently you want to share?
Keep safe and stay healthy y’all!

I’m also addicted to watching real life crime shows. Dateline is one of my favorites. You should check out The First 48 if you haven’t already.

I haven’t seen it yet. I will check it out. Thanks for the recommendation.
I used to watch 20/20 but stopped a long time ago. Loving your currently March 2020 update. Stay healthy and stay happy!
♥️♥️♥️
My kids love being at home but I’m going stir crazy. I’d take on a project if it wasn’t for sudden home schooling!
This is such a great list. I haven’t had pigs in a blanket in such a long time, these look so yummy.
We are staying in as much as possible, but it isn’t much of a change. My second youngest kid is home from college for the year. We love having him home, especially in these uncertain times.
I really love that song by Miranda Lambert, The House That Built Me. It is such a wonderful song. That Pigs in a Blanket recipe looks really yummy!
I’m continuing to stay at home, too. I also and loving the single bloom on my daffodils. One. Ha.
It’s been a while since I’ve made pigs in a blanket. That is something my kids really like to. I’ll have to make them for them soon.
A lot of changes in our live this month! I hope we will be back to our normal lives soon!
Glad to know those things you love. I love the sound of raindrops too, it makes me feel so relaxed.
Thanks for sharing the Miranda Lambert song! I love it! My kids love pigs in a blanket. We’re planning to make some tomorrow.
I can’t believe how our lives changed in the last few weeks! I wish things get better soon! Good luck with your home project!
Pigs in a blanket are so good. I remember having those a lot growing up. That actually gives me a good idea for dinner. My stepkids are hating all the food we got for them for their visit this week and the casseroles I made ahead of time, so we’re trying to find stuff they’ll like. I’ll have to give pigs in a blanket a try. Thanks for the idea!
You’re welcome, Erin!
