One night a few weeks ago, I got this craving for pork barbecue; the Filipino-style pork barbecue, that is. But it sure is impossible for me to have it so I opted for the Southern-style barbecue instead which is totally different from ours, but still as delicious.
Good thing about craving this barbecue is there is a barbecue restaurant close to where we live and they are famous for their barbecue. The name of the restaurant is Moe’s Original BBQ and they take pride in the Southern food that they serve.
We’ve eaten at the restaurant before, but this time I just wanted to have a takeout and enjoy the food at home. I called them to order and Hubby picked up the order for me.
Banana Puddin’
This is one of the sides that I chose. It says banana puddin’ on their menu so that’s why I put it like that. Hubby loves banana pudding big time; that’s why I chose this…for him.
Ribs Platter
They offer two kinds of platters for the ribs: Large with six ribs in it and small with four ribs in it. I got the small one because I’m the only one who was going to eat. But guess what? I ended up eating only two ribs because they already filled me up. I gave the other two ribs to my son and he sure enjoyed them as much as I did.
The platter had St. Louis style spare ribs with their house-made sweet and tangy BBQ sauce and pickles. It was served with cornbread plus two sides. I chose baked beans as a side to go along with the banana puddin’ dessert.
Everything on this platter was really delicious. And now I’m kind of craving those goodies again after seeing this picture. LOL.
Do you like BBQ?

That restaurant looks like a great place for barbecue and the kind that people like you love. I know this will be the place so many will go when they get those cravings.

Yes I love BBQ! I’m a sweet bbq lover though not hot and spicy. I usually go for pulled pork.
