As I mentioned on my Easter dinner post, here’s the app that we’ve been using to order food delivered right to our doorstep. This is not a sponsored post, I just want to share it because at this point in time where we can’t eat at restaurants, we only have two options – either to have a pick-up takeout or delivery and this app sure is very convenient.
My son was the one who told us about this after a friend of his from Arizona used this app to have ice cream delivered to him. Such a sweet gesture.
The name of the app is DoorDash.
You register, put in your info – i.e. your name, address, credit card, etc. After that, ordering food is as easy as 1-2-3.
Pick the restaurant you want to order your food from, then you order your food, choose the tip you want to give and next, they will inform you if your order has been confirmed by the restaurant.
Then they will inform you through text or through the app when the Dasher has picked up your order from the restaurant and when he’s on his way to deliver your food.
The Dasher is the person who picks up your food from the restaurant and delivers to you.
We have used the app many times already and the latest was the one on Easter which included this tofu.
The service has been really great so far and all the dashers have been really good.
I like the fact that the restaurants really have the bags sealed either with tape or staples. Which means the Dasher could not really mess up with your food in case they are one of those dishonest and crazy individuals.
They also have an option now where you can message them to just leave the goodies by the front door or wherever you want them to leave it.

I’ve heard of the app but haven’t tried it. I keep hearing horror stories of people not getting their complete orders when they use apps like that. So we call in to a restaurant and just pick it up.
During all this, it is so awesome that we can get food delivered right to our doorstep!
We love doordash and use it way too often lol. There are lots of great options in our area, whether we want just fast food or something a little “nicer.”
We have been doing delivery, but haven’t tried doordash yet. Will have to try it.

We’ve been using the DoorDash app since we’ve been living in a hotel in a larger town. Watkins Glen is a smaller town, so I’ll have to check into this for availability
I think it’s such a great service! We live out of their delivery zone unfortunately but I would love to use something like this.
I haven’t tried Door Dash yet. I had used a food delivery service twice this month, very useful!
Babushka lives in a rural area where DoorDash doesn’t go. Sounds like a great app though.
DoorDash has been my saving grace during quarantine! I also love that it lets me support local businesses.
DoorDash sounds like an amazing app. I’ve heard of it but never really tried. But I will definitely check this one out. It’s really convenient.
My daughter is a Door Dasher these days and she has been so busy. It’s very important that you go back in and rate your deliver because this important for them. The higher they rate the better they get paid, how often they can work etc.
We tried this app fir the first time ever yesterday. Useful and has a wide variety of restaurants. We wanted Chipotle. This was efficient.
We live out in the country now, so many places don’t deliver out here. But when we lived in the city, we used DoorDash all the time! Such a great idea!
I think it’s great that so many places are doing delivery now. I have heard of this before, but haven’t checked it out yet. I’m going to check it out and see if there is anything in my area.

We’re out in the country and Door Dash doesn’t reach us. We have been able to get groceries thank goodness.

I love food delivery apps! They are so convenient during the lockdown. In India, Zomato and Swiggy are two popular home delivery apps!
That’s good that you have had a good experience with this service. I do miss a lot of the foods we would normally have if we weren’t in isolation.
