Hello y’all! How was your Easter Sunday celebration? I hope it was wonderful although I guess it was different than before, like ours.
We always celebrate Easter Sunday with my brother-in-law and his family. My sister-in-law would always prepare a sumptuous meal with adorable Easter treats that she makes with her grand kids’ assistance.
As expected, we all had to do it separately and differently than what we were accustomed to. But it doesn’t mean it had to be a sad celebration. You can still make it joyful although you are quarantined. And that’s exactly what we did.
Heard a Catholic Mass
Back when I was still in the Philippines, a TV Station there would always air a Catholic Mass live on TV every Sunday. If we missed going to church, we’d watch.
So hearing or watching a Catholic Mass on TV yesterday wasn’t new to me. And it was good to start the day hearing the Gospel.
Baked Chocolate Crinkle Cookies
Our son was craving for chocolate crinkle cookies on Friday so he whipped the dough and baked a dozen of ’em. I just put the rest of the dough in the fridge and baked some more on Easter Sunday.
Ordered Asian Food
For dinner, we decided to go Asian. Well, as an Asian, it definitely was the cuisine that appealed to me yesterday. It wasn’t the kind of food that we usually had at my in-laws, but our tummies were sure happy.
I am going to share more about this dinner on Friday. For now, I’m going to give you a sneak peek of what we had.
These are Takoyaki balls. This is one of my son’s favorite snacks back in my hometown and we were so delighted to see this on the menu yesterday. And it was so good.
Watched a Movie
After dinner, Hubby and I watched this movie ‘Green Book‘. It was such a great film. I think Hubby’s going to blog more about it soon.
How about you? How did you spend your quarantined Easter?

Yum, Asian food always makes me happy. We still had ham and all that and we relaxed at home. No service though since we aren’t religious, but we did go on an easter egg hunt in the backyard!

We missed out celebrating with our grandkids and it breaks my heart. You know, like me, how fleeting childhood is and I didn’t want to miss a second of it, but what can you do.

BB and Sweetie started Easter Sunday by seeing the Facebook sermon of our local church. Isn’t it wonderful these things are possible? Later we got to see via computer our grandchildren and all the goodies they got and all the eggs the found. Easter dinner was a combo of both BB’s Hispanic heritage and Sweetie’s traditional cuisine. All in all, a true blessing of a day. Glad yours was too.

We had a pretty low key Easter Sunday. My daughter and I were camping out in a tent and she slept late. We made a yummy breakfast carbonara pasta for brunch.
