Hello August!
July didn’t seem to fly by quickly for me, but I must say, I enjoyed every minute of it. I indulged in Christmas movies on Hallmark Channel, finished quite a lot when it comes to our DIY projects and did some bread baking.
So, let’s head on to the recap and check out what you might have missed.
Family Fun
We have been watching a bunch of new shows and hubby talked about it on his On the Tube post.
I also did my monthly Currently post and the hubs and I watched this movie Genius which was based on a book. The hubs read the book after we watched the movie and he shared his thoughts about it here too.
You can find all the links below.
Amazon Shopping
I’m trying the Amazon affiliate program and shared all the things that we have bought from there and truly love. Already shared a bunch of them before and shared more here last month.
Have you picked any of these items yet? 🙂
I Love Food
And of course, I shared the food that we have enjoyed lately.
Like I said in my intro, I have baked quite a bit of bread and here they are. As of today, I’m out of bread and I already have something in mind on what to bake next.
I also shared a couple of dinner ideas for you. Have you tried any of them yet?
Pandesal (Filipino Bread Rolls)
Cocktail Meatballs with Sweet & Sour Sauce
Pinaputok na Tilapia (Popped Tilapia)
And there’s the month of July for you.
How was your July? I hope it was wonderful. Have a great August!

I shop on Amazon way too much!
I am in a bread baking mode I need to try your philipino rolls those look so yummy!
My July started when my hubby discovered Amazon. Yes, he just discovered it and every other day we are getting packages. Now I don’t feel bad as now he knows how I felt for years.
I just got a cast iron skillet and love it. I need to get those oven mits.
We had a terrific July too. The highlight was camping on an uninhabited island we had to borrow a dingy to get to.
I missed Filipino Cheese Bread. They look really good! A must try!
Those cheese rolls look so good! And I have the same oven mitts and love them. Thanks for all the other ideas.
Great collection of items here! I can’t wait to try the Filipino Cheese Bread! It looks and sounds delicious. My hubby and I also like to try authentic dishes from around the world!
July wasn’t too bad for us. My kids were able to do some sports and swimming. But it was still difficult, because of all the times when the weather was beautiful and there wasn’t much to do.
Your breads look amazing, I have never tried a Fillipino bread before. The book you shared also looks very good!
Sounds like you had a lovely July. Time for fun projects and relaxing as well. Like you, I’ve been cooking up a storm…mostly desserts though. I’m quite intrigued by your Tilapia dish. It looks amazing, but I’m scared of cooking a whole fish. Is it easy? Looks divine!!
It’s so easy to make and you only need a few ingredients. Check the recipe out. 😊
I want to try that Filipino cheese bread! That book you mentioned at the beginning sounds really good too.
It was nice to look back at July through your eyes. I liked the idea of the Filipino bread.
July was a good month for us! My daughter and her boyfriend visited for a few days and we also got to see our son, his wife, and their baby.
I have a cast-iron pan similar to the one you linked and I love it.
I love how you’ve been keeping yourself busy! July was full of wonderful memories and things for me too.
