So…I’m now a year older and definitely a year wiser. 🙂
I recently celebrated my birthday and what better way to celebrate it than with good food. Celebrating another year of life is a blessing not to be ignored.
For this year, I decided to go with seafood although our son decided to go with something else. My son and I being natives of the Philippines, our love of seafood is a given, but his teenage psyche’s demands of being different led him to choose something else that day.
Using our favorite food delivery app, the hubs and I had a feeding frenzy by ordering at one of our favorite restaurants, Red Lobster.
Maine Lobster Tail
A few times in the past, I also had lobster for my birthday. And this year, I wanted lobster again; love it that much!
Seafood-Stuffed Mushrooms
Stuffed mushrooms are one of my favorite side dishes and these filled with seafood are really delicious. We’ve had this before and will certainly have it again.
White Wine and Roasted-Garlic Mussels
Love us some mussels. This was hubby’s choice, though, he did share with me. Yum!
Bread
They sent this for free as well as some biscuits. I totally forgot to take a photo of the biscuits. 🙂
St. Louis Style Spare Rib
And this was what our son chose to have. This choice was prompted by the fact that I had the same thing for my birthday lunch.
I ordered these from a restaurant called Moe’s BBQ. They are famous for their southern-style food and they are located close to where we live.
So I just called them to order and hubby picked it up.
And as sides, my son had mac and cheese and hash brown casserole.
It may have been a quarantine-style birthday, but it was still wonderful. I couldn’t be more grateful for my husband and son for making it extra-special and making me feel loved…all-the-time!

Food is meant to be enjoyed. My kids got me Olive Garden for my birthday last month. And my boyfriend made me a steak and shrimp dinner the following night. It was Yummy. We have been eating a bit of seafood lately. My youngest loves it.
