The holidays are upon us and I couldn’t be any happier because for me, this is absolutely the most wonderful time of the year.
I know we still have the pandemic going on and the numbers are actually surging, but we just have to make the most of the situation.
Listening…
To…Christmas music.
It may be early for some because we haven’t celebrated Thanksgiving, but if you don’t know yet, we start celebrating Christmas in September in the Philippines. And you bet, Christmas carols are being played wherever you go by then. That’s how we all love Christmas.
So although I’m here in the U.S., I can’t help but listen to Christmas music. But I don’t start in September here. I usually start after Halloween. 🙂
Watching…
Dancing with the Stars.
It’s my first time watching this show after the many seasons that they’ve had. I saw clips of the show before, but didn’t really check it out. Then one night, while waiting for the hubs, I was flipping the channels when I came across the show. I enjoyed it and have been hooked ever since. They’re now headed to the finals and I can’t wait to see who will bring home the bacon.
Drinking…
Egg Nog.
I’d heard of egg nog before, but hubby isn’t into it so I didn’t have the urge to give it a try. Then my nephew told me that it tastes like the Philippine dessert, Leche Flan. So I immediately grabbed me a box when I saw it at the supermarket recently. And he was so right. It did taste like Leche Flan. So yeah, it’s like Leche Flan in a liquid form.
Enjoying…
Our merry and bright Christmas decor.
Yep, I already decked the halls over here. I usually do it a week before Thanksgiving since I got here in the U.S. but this year, I decided to make it one more week earlier. We’re actually not done. We’re going to add more this weekend.
Looking Forward To…
Thanksgiving.
I may have decorated for Christmas already, but I’m still looking forward to celebrating Thanksgiving, a new holiday to me seeing that it isn’t celebrated in the Philippines. Can’t wait to gobble until I wobble with my favorite people. 🙂

We are in the process of changing our living room and dining room. Although the “new living room” is bigger, we don’t know where we will be putting our tree. Some of my kids won’t make it home for the holidays, so I feel a little sad and less motivated to decorate. (But better to be safe this year, so we can be together next year!)
Crizel Ibarra says
Decorating our house is much more fun…I can handle it on my own.. I can’t wait the Christmas will come and enjoy it…My countdown starts now

November is my favorite month with Thanksgiving being the crown jewel. Our celebration will be much smaller than usual, but much more meaningful because of who all will be there.
