Hi y’all! And a happy holidays to one and all on this day before the day before Christmas, officially known as Christmas Eve Eve.

I’ll admit that I’ve been very remiss in visiting here over the past few weeks. It’s been exactly 8-weeks-ago today (56 days, almost two full months!) that I last shared my thoughts. That’s because my part time job changed colors and turned into a full time job on a part time basis. All is back to normal now, thankfully, and I’ve returned to the world of a retired old man working part time just to stay active.
With just two days until that special day I can’t help but recall the Christmas morning we awoke to 10 years ago, 12/25/2010. On Lynndee and Yogi’s 32nd day in the U.S., their first Christmas ever away from their home country, the Philippines, they awoke to the rarity of a White Christmas, not only for the first time ever but also the first time they’d ever seen snow in person. I couldn’t have dreamed up a better gift to give them, as if I had anything to do with that…(“,)
And now, coming up on what will be the 10th anniversary of that memorable Christmas, a bitter cold front is forecast to be heading our way with the possibility of snow. A wonderful way to celebrate the 10th anniversary of our first Christmas together.
As with any Christmas, be you young or old, one always wonders just what is inside those wrapped boxes under the tree. And this year, I truly do wonder just what is in that one box that won’t even fit under the tree? Anghel Lynndee sure shed her wings and halo, becoming a li’l horned Devil by trying to fool her Big Devil with a total surprise gift. But I’ll be sure and let you know what my surprise was.

But to me, the biggest surprise is wondering at the effort she had to go to in wrapping that thing so perfectly. Luckily for her, I was out so many hours working that she had the time to do it. Oh well, all that now remains is to just wait with anticipation for the moment we all have waited for since we were kids, waking up on Christmas morning to share joy with the ones we love.
I wish y’all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS…HO HO HO!
I’m dreaming of a white Christmas this year. We have a chance for it so sure hoping so.
Mery Christmas to you and yours! I hope it’s a great holiday season.
That definitely looks like it was a challenge to wrap! Happy holidays to you!
Merry Christmas! Prayers for a healthy New Year with the ability to walk around maskless!
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas. I am a terrible wrapper. My gifts look pretty scary, but ahh well!
I missed your thoughts and ideas. This is a great time to recall and reflect about the past year and seasons gone by.
What great memories and having Christmas as a big part of it all is just magical. The tree is beautiful and I can’t wait to find out what she got you!!
I live in the Las Vegas desert so I’ve never experienced a white Christmas. I hope to spend the holiday abroad and change that someday.
I love the Christmas season and giving presents but the wrapping is the horrible and hardest part for me haha! I still need to learn how to wrap perfectly
The holiday season is so much fun and we love wrapping and opening gifts!
Sounds like you were busy with work for a while. Good to hear you’re taking it easy now. Have a great Christmas.
I am so glad that you decided to return after your 56-day reprieve. I love the magic of Christmas and I enjoyed reading of your obvious delight in it.
Merry Christmas. I hope she enjoys her surprise!
Merry Christmas! And let us know what is that surprise!
It was nice to read the story about your Christmas past and to feel the excitement you have for what Is to come.
Lucky you! I can’t wait to see what’s inside your gift box 😍 Merry Christmas and happy Holidays 🎄🙂
She did a great job wrapping it! I would also be excited to open a present as big as that. Hehe
Merry Christmas to your family! I always remember wonderful past memories while wrapping gifts late at night.
