Today, our Dad, whom we fondly call Fader, is celebrating his 75th birthday back in my hometown of GenSan in the Philippines. With that, we decided to give him this cake.

My Dad loves to play golf. My husband and him actually played golf during our vacation in the Philippines a few years ago. So when we were thinking about the theme for his birthday cake, I thought of golf.
Then my sister gave me two other ideas. A karaoke and engineering themed cakes since our Dad loves to sing karaoke and he is also a contractor. He does engineering work – civil and mechanical.
We finally decided on the engineering themed cake.
My sister ordered it from her friend and we just sent her the moolah to pay for it.
Doesn’t that cake looks amazing?! And the flavor is carrot with walnuts. Yum!
Now, I’m just waiting for them to send us the leftovers. They said they’re going to send it via Facebook Messenger. Bahaha!
Other than the cake, my sister and her family, my SIL, plus my Aunt (Dad’s youngest sister) also enjoyed delicious Filipino food to fill their tummies with. They also invited a few of Dad’s friends to celebrate with them.
They couldn’t invite more people as much as they would because of the pandemic, but we’re just happy that Dad was still able to celebrate this milestone in his life with them.
To Fader, Happy Birthday once again from all of us here in North Carolina!
