I’ve shared a few of my favorite apps here on the blog before and these are the ones that became my favorites, too, after that.
1) AnyList
The hubs and I go grocery shopping every week. I used to write down what we need on a piece of paper until one day I thought of browsing the app store for a grocery shopping list app. I just thought of it out of the blue. In my mind I was thinking, there should be an app to make creating grocery list easier and I came across this.
I have been using it ever since. I don’t have to carry a paper and a pen to the grocery store anymore. I used the pen to cross out each item once it’s already in the cart. With this app, I just have to swipe the item to delete.
2) DoorDash
I have shared about this food delivery app here on the blog before. We have been using this app since last year and we’re still using it. We haven’t had problems with this app except for that one incident where one dish was missing. We reported it to the app and they reimbursed it.
3) Uber
We usually use this app when we travel like when we traveled to my home country, the Philippines. We stayed in my home country for a month on our first trip and stayed for more than two weeks on our second trip. We don’t want to park our car at the airport and pay a big amount. It was wise to use Uber instead to pick us up to and from the airport.
4) HomeScapes
I started playing this app in the fall of 2019 to kill time while I was waiting for my son while sitting in the school parking lot. I never stopped playing it from then on because it’s just so fun for me. And I’m on level 6821 now. The rest of my family members in the Philippines and Canada already quit playing, but I’m still holding on. 🙂
5) Waze
This GPS traffic app is amazing. One time, it even gave us a heads up that there was a pothole ahead. That was too funny. I was like, “What? She knew?!” LOL.
How about you? What are some of your favorite apps?

I can not live without Waze it is the only way not to get lost. I am just hearing about Anylist today but it seems like a real help when shopping.
Amber Myers says
I do have some of these apps. I use Uber and Lyft. Lyft is sometimes cheaper. Waze is a good one too! I’ve heard of DoorDash but haven’t tried it yet!
Tasheena says
Thanks for sharing some of your favorite apps. Waze is a favorite as well.
Tara Pittman says
Waze sounds like a great app to use for traveling. I will have to check it out.

Lately my husband and I have gotten into flower gardening so we have been enjoying the app “Picture This.”
Richelle Escat says
Gosh I super loved the first app. I make list and sometimes I forget it or I lose it, of course if it’s in my phone I don’t think that’ll happen.
Catalina says
I know only Uber from this list. I will definitely check out the other app. Maybe I will find something new and good for me!
Scarlett Brooklyn says
Haha I love Waze too! It’s so hilarious, when it tells you details like that.
Rose Ann Sales says
I would definitely try Anylist, sounds perfect for someone like me.

I’ve heard about DoorDash and I think it’s good. I used to love Uber but they had to exit Southeast Asia a few years back. We are also constant users of Waze.
Beth says
I’ll have to give Waze a try once I update my phone to something that can run apps! Right now Instagram is about all it can handle.
Kelli A says
My daughter is addicted to homescapes and gardenscapes. I have had these on my phone for a few years now, to help her! lol
Kathy says
These all sound like great apps. I should try out DoorDash sometime. We don’t really have places around us that deliver though. I’m from a small town.
MELANIE EDJOURIAN says
I have only heard of Uber from those you mentioned. they seem great. I just got hubby to order food via Uber with 50% off. Looking forward to Chinese for dinner x
Lynndee says
Enjoy your dinner. We love Chinese food, too. 🙂
I use doordash pretty often. and uber we i do travel around
Waze is a lifesaver. I am so poor with directions and Waze has helped me a lot when I drive to places I am not familiar with. I have heard of Homescapes before but haven’t tried it yet. I will check that out. Maybe that will help me with my boredom. Haha.
I have only uber app in hand. Rest I have to check it out.
Those are all great apps to check out and I am absolutely loving Homescapes, this game really helped me pass and enjoy my free time.
I haven’t heard of a few of the apps here! I think I must download that grocery shopping app ANYLIST and use it. Thanks for sharing 🙂
You’re welcome! 🙂
We like a lot of the same. I enjoy Hopper for travel. You can reserve a price for an aiine ticket in case it goes up. Nice service.
