He did it!
We have been waiting for this special day and it finally happened this past Saturday. With the temps in the 70’s and the sun shining in all its glory, it was such a wonderful day to celebrate the high school graduates.
The Commencement Ceremony was held at the school’s stadium. And there they are…the class of 2021 graduates in their beautiful red caps and gowns.
The Hubs spent many an hour on that field back in the day, not playing football but playing his baritone horn while practicing and marching with the high school band who performed there every Friday night during the halftime break of the game. The buildings seen in the background are now the middle school our son attended, however, in the past, it was the high school my Hubs graduated from. Needless to say, this day and event was a total nostalgia trip for him.
There’s our son. We call him Yogi; that’s his nickname.
We definitely are proud parents.
The year of virtual learning wasn’t his strong suit, but he did his best and made it through. He strived and survived. And we couldn’t be more proud of him.
We gave him this card because we thought it’s absolutely perfect for him. Aside from adding mine and my husband’s messages, there’s also a note that says…“Flying high and going places – that’s you! Way to go, Grad!”
He has these plans and dreams of going to places…some places we have never been. I’m excited for him on that!
The cake to celebrate our beloved grad. The flavor is Chocolate Cream Cheese and it’s so creamy and delicious. And isn’t that cake topper adorable?! We love it!
Congratulations again to our son and to the Class of 2021!
Here’s wishing him all the best life has to offer. A life filled with happiness and successes because he truly deserves it!
