After more than a year, the hubs and I finally got to eat out again in a restaurant. The last time we ate out was in February 2020 to celebrate his birthday.
Our son was on a trip, so last night we decided to go out on a much-needed date and had dinner at Olive Garden. The hubs was the one who chose where to go. We’ve both been fully vaccinated and we’re confident about dining out in a public setting.
It was a surprise to see the restaurant packed with people. We had to wait for 20 minutes to be seated. We saw a few people wearing masks and most of the wait staff, but we didn’t. Being in there last night felt like there is no more pandemic going on and that we’re finally back to normal.
So what did we have? Here you go!
Coffee
It was pretty chilly inside the restaurant so the hubs who can be a wuss sometimes ordered a cup of coffee. 🙂

What a huge serving! I think we only ate a quarter of it.
Zuppa Toscana
Hubby’s soup. It is spicy Italian sausage with fresh kale and russet potatoes in a creamy broth.
Lasagna Classico
Hubby’s entree’. I love lasagna so I had to have a bite.
Herb-Grilled Salmon
I got to have my salmon! Being from a tropical ocean country, I’m a fish lover. This was delicious. It was served with parmesan garlic broccoli.
Pinot Noir
Hubby’s wine. That’s all he drank, though because he still had to drive. 🙂
We stayed there for a while talking while enjoying our food. It was really a fun date night. Meanwhile, our son was also having fun with his friends in Virginia.

There is nothing quite like a good date night is there? I have to admit I would definitely enjoy doing on Italian style and having a delicious meal.
This fish sounds delicious. I need to check this out next time I go to Olive Garden.
Olive Garden is one of my favorite restaurants. The only problem I have is that I eat WAY too much.

Congratulations on having been fully vaccinated! My wife and I are still waiting for our first dose schedule. We’ll probably go on a date once we’ve received the vaccine. I’m sure you enjoyed every moment of your date as well as the delicious food and drinks. Stay safe!
