Fall is in full swing and it’s time for another Currently post.
We are currently on cloud nine after the awesome game that we watched on Saturday. Had to stay up late just to watch it, but no problem. We made it! Read more about it below.
Listening…
To…Chasing After You by Ryan Hurd & Maren Morris
I first heard of this song when they performed it live on the CMT awards show. Such a great mellow song to listen to.
Watching…
Big Sky Season 2 on ABC.
We enjoyed the first Season so now we’re watching the second. It’s about two private detectives chasing criminals in Montana.
Eating…
Cucumber salad.
If you missed my post on Friday, check it out and get my recipe for cucumber salad. So good!
Loving…
All the pumpkins and mums!
While the hubs was looking for something inside at Lowe’s, I busied myself looking at the plants in their Garden Center. I just love all the colorful mums that they have there and the pumpkins. I didn’t buy mums and pumpkins, though. Instead we brought home a pot of rhododendron which we are going to transplant soon. The hubs has been wanting to have it because they have one at work and he just loved its beautiful pink blooms.
Enjoying…
Halloween decor.
I don’t decorate for Halloween, but it’s always fun to look at people’s creativity when it comes to decorating their yard. When we went trick-or-treating before, there is this street that we frequented and most of the houses were always decorated elaborately and it was always so cool.
This guy was staring at me in the parking lot a few days ago. Good thing it was daytime. Had it been night time, I would have ran as fast as I could. LOL. I was so amused, though. Whoever did it, you gotta love his/her sense of humor.
Looking Forward To…
The World Series.
FINALLY! The Atlanta Braves had their sweet revenge against the Dodgers after last years traumatic failure to advance to the World Series. Woo hoo! We were close to beating them last year (leading the Championship Series 3-1) but unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be. This year was totally their year, grinding through so many obstacles.
In the middle of June they were 7 games out of first place, and even on August 1st, they were still 5 games back. They then went on a run of 10 wins against 2 losses, taking over 1st place on August 15th, then finishing with an incredible run of going 9-0, those consecutive wins coming on a three city road trip, never looking back the rest of the season.
Now they’re headed to the World Series. The hubs, the fanatic that the word fan stands for, says that they are a team of destiny, just like the New York Mets, who supposedly didn’t have a chance against the Baltimore Orioles in the 1969 World Series. The Braves supposedly didn’t have a chance against the Dodgers in this Championship Series seeing that the Dodgers had handled the Braves easily during the regular season and finished the season with an overall record of 18 more wins than the Braves.
So much for numbers and analytics, though. As the hubs likes to say, any given team can win on any given day. Thanks to the hubs for all the baseball info above. He’s the one who introduced me to this game not played in my home country.
Anyway, we watched the game until midnight on Saturday and we couldn’t be happier. What a game! The World Series against the Houston Astros will start tomorrow, Tuesday and we’re so looking forward to it. Let’s go Braves!!!
How about you? Any currently you want to share?
