Together with his gamer buddies, our son took a fun-filled 4-day cruise to the Bahamas from Miami last week.
And while he was gone, the hubs and I sure felt like empty nesters again. That wasn’t his first trip without us. He also made a trip for a get-together with his gamer buddies in Virginia in June this year.
He sure had a blast! Can you tell?
It was his first time to ride a jet ski and had so much fun. This was just for a photo op, though. He wasn’t the one who drove. He was actually thrown out of the jet ski after the driver took a sharp turn. But as per him, it made it all the more fun. LOL. I didn’t know he could be so adventurous like that. I’m just so glad that he wasn’t hurt or anything. And he was wearing a life vest the whole time.

They first made a stop at an island.

Look at that gorgeous water! It kind of reminded me of Boracay island in the Philippines. The sand and water are gorgeous there, too. We made a trip there in 2001.

Other than enjoying the beautiful islands and views, they also had so much fun while on the cruise. They filled their tummies with good food (which I’ll be sharing next time), enjoyed the bars and even watched stand-up comedy shows. He was even roasted in one of the shows, but all for fun.
My son is now 18 and starting to spread his wings. I’m anxious whenever he’s not here, and I think it’ll take time to get used to not being a worried Mom. I’m happy that he had a wonderful time, though, and glad that he’s home safe and sound.

Hi! I can certainly relate to your fears whenever your son goes away without you. Guess what… you will always wonder if they are doing ok, it just gets easier to handle when they are older and working.
I have to admit I would love to go on a cruise, I bet it would be amazing to see the Bahamas as well
