Hello, December! Christmas is in the air and I couldn’t be any happier because this is my absolute favorite time of year. The halls are decked and lights are twinkling in our home. And I’m done with Christmas shopping, too. I’m just waiting for a few more gifts to arrive to wrap and that’s it.
I was planning on posting my recap on December 1st, but a short trip to the E.R. hindered that. More on that eventful day soon. For now, let’s head on to the recap. Check on what you might have missed here on the blog last month.
Fun, Fun, Fun
We have shared about our favorite MLB team, the Atlanta Braves here before and even narrated about our trips to Atlanta to watch them play and even explore the city. This year, the much awaited award of any fan has come true. The Atlanta Braves were the 2021 World Series Champions and, of course, we are on cloud 9. Way to go, Braves!
After a year of not celebrating with my BIL and his family because of the pandemic, we finally got to celebrate Thanksgiving again this year. It was good to see them all again, catch up and enjoy delicious food.

I Love Food
It was such a nice surprise to see our friend knocking on our door one chilly November night. He’s been Hubby’s best friend since 1st grade and all the way through high school and later jobs. He always pays us a visit and treats us to dinner whenever he comes to the U.S. Ironically, his friend now lives in the Philippines with his Filipina wife whom he actually met in Geneva, Switzerland. He was there doing business and she was working at the United Nations. The Hubs and his friend both consider it an irony that they each married a Filipina, making their lifelong friendship a truly equal endeavor. The only thing to make it even more equal would be if me and the Hubs eventually moved to the Philippines. Who knows? Only time will tell.
I also shared a recipe of clam soup. Yum! Have your tried it yet?
