Yesterday was Cinco de Mayo. We love a good Mexican food so we celebrated by ordering takeout using one of our favorite food delivery apps, Uber Eats.
We haven’t had Mexican food in a while so since yesterday was our grocery day and I don’t usually cook after grocery shopping, we decided to order and join all the other people who celebrated Cinco de Mayo.
Here are the goodies that we ordered.
Beef Enchiladas

My husband’s order. This is his most favorite Mexican food. And he only prefers beef. Nothing more, nothing less.
He has such fond memories of a long-gone restaurant, Fiesta Cantina, which was located across the street from one of his former jobs, managing a Putt Putt Golf and Games. His #1 order there was always enchiladas with rice and beans, along with an appetizer of their fantastic nachos smothered with jalapeno peppers. And of course, there was also an order for a Mexican cerveza, usually a dark one such as Modelo Negra.
They also serve this in chicken and bean.
Mexican Rice

He ordered this as one of his sides.
Refried Beans

And here’s the other side.
Eagles Plate

Here’s mine. This is what I usually order when we go to a Mexican restaurant. It has rice, beans, shrimp, grilled chicken, and steak with onions, bell peppers and tomatoes.
The rice was a little salty for my taste, but I did enjoy the shrimp and meats.
Cheese Quesadillas

Our son’s choice. He was already enjoying his sub sandwich so he only ordered these.
The hubs also bought a six-pack of Mexican beer. I had a few sips from his bottle and well, it tasted like beer. LOL. He said there’s a difference in taste between a Mexican beer and American beer. For me, they all taste like beer. Hee-hee.
Happy Foodie Friday, friends!
How about you? Do you love Mexican food? Did you celebrate Cinco de Mayo?
OMG, those look so good! Just looking at it is making me so hungry!
I am now hungry. These are my favorite foods to enjoy on Cinco de Mayo.
Yum! Everything looks so amazing! I love some good food like this.
That looks absolutely delicious and tasty! I would really love to try this recipe!
The food sounds great. My eldest has been asking about getting Quesadillas in for dinner one night. I wasn’t sure where to get them from.
This seems like the perfect meal for May 5th. It looks so good.
We love Mexican food too! I’ve never had Mexican beer, but it would probably just taste like beer to me too. I do enjoy a good mojito from time to time.
Mexican food is one of my favorite foods, I must try some of these recipes at my next party event thanks for sharing this.
All dishes look scrumptious. Have never tried a Mexican restaurant but will now! Thank you.
I heard about Cinco de Mayo wherein there is some sort of get-together.
Your food looks so delicious! I literally drool over it.
