Happy Memorial Day! It’s the last Monday of May and summer will be here before we know it. Anyhoo, time for another Currently post.
Listening…
“Heaven” by Bryan Adams is one of my favorite songs and it’s one of my favorites to sing in the Karaoke back in my hometown, too. I haven’t tried Karaoke here in the U.S. yet. One of these days, maybe. 🙂
I came across this video on TikTok a few days ago and have been listening to it since. Love this song!
Watching…
I was browsing Netflix over the weekend and decided to watch Anatomy of a Scandal. It’s a limited series with only 6 episodes. It’s interesting so far.
The 5th Season of Outlander is also out on Netflix now. We’ve been waiting for it and couldn’t hold the excitement when I found out it’s there. We haven’t started watching it yet, but we sure will soon!
Loving…
This gold necklace was one of my son’s special gifts to me on Mother’s Day and it has been my current favorite to wear wherever I go. He also got him one but in silver. Such a thoughtful and beautiful gift.
Enjoying…
This Art Gallery at the regional airport was really cool. Can you believe those artwork are made of yarn? There were more but I only got to take a snap of these. Such amazing talents shown in those artworks.
Eating…
My son had dinner with his friend in this Asian restaurant called Itto Ramen Bar & Tapas a few days ago. His friend recommended this Itto Bun and he really enjoyed it. The following day, he ordered using a delivery app so I could taste it and he was right, it was so good!
It is steamed bun with chashu pork served with cucumber, arugula and sweet miso sauce.
Dinuguan or Pork Blood Stew is one of my favorite Filipino dishes. I haven’t tried preparing it here in the U.S. because of the lack of ingredients. But actually, even if I have the ingredients, it would take an expert to prepare this dish so I think I’ll just leave preparing this to the pros.
Then I was browsing an Asian online store one day and saw this. I had no idea this even exists. The reviews said it was good so I gave it a try and they were right.
Drinking…
My son was also the one who introduced me to Bubble Tea. His friend and him would always grab this when they are out and about. This is the Taro flavor. It reminded me of Ube. So good!
Looking Forward To…
Celebrating Father’s Day. I still haven’t started shopping so I better get going. I have shared some Father’s Day gift ideas recently so check it out if you haven’t shopped yet like me.
How about you? Any Currently in May that you want to share?

The food and drinks look so colorful and delicious! I wonder if the pork blood stew tastes anything like blood pudding… and the detail in the yarn art is just beautiful!

I love how airports are embracing adding art to their walls – it’s important for spaces to be both functional *and* beautiful
