Like I mentioned in my June Currently Top Gun Edition post, I was so looking forward to watching Top Gun: Maverick and we finally got to see it last week and, boy, what a movie! It was an absolute phenomenal film!
I’ve said many times in the past that Top Gun is one of my favorite movies of all time and I’ve seen it countless times. Now I have to add Top Gun: Maverick to the list! And since it’s now added to my all time favorites, it’s a given that I’m also going to have a special edition of Currently for it, just like what I did with Top Gun last month, right? Right!

Before we watched the movie, I’d already seen clips of the beach scene, but I didn’t know the song used on the scene was by OneRepublic. They’re one of my fave bands, too, and I actually shared a song of theirs that I really like on a previous Currently post. So it was such a delight when I found out that “I Ain’t Worried” is by OneRepublic. It is such a nice catchy song. Too perfect for the beach scene. Love the lyrics, too.
Watching…
This movie has already earned a billion worldwide and is continuing to earn more. That only goes to show you what an amazing film it is.
Eating…
Didn’t get to take a snap of the popcorn, but that was what we had. I mean, you got to have popcorn while watching a movie, right?
Drinking…
A large soda and a bottle of water; you got to have something to pair with popcorn. 🙂

Tom Cruise is aging like fine wine. Do you agree? He just turned 60 and he’s still looking so good! Now if he only knew he’s got a fan in this part of the country who has had a huge crush on him since she was a tween. LOL.

Watching Top Gun: Maverick again and, again and, again. What can I say?

We used to watch the original Top Gun movie when I was growing up. It was my brothers favorite. I haven’t had a chance to see the new Top Gun movie but I will be renting it from Redbox when it comes out.
I never got into Top Gun but my husband loves it. He went to see this movie and said it was fantastic. I wish I could like Tom Cruise but he just seems like an asshole in real life.
I haven’t had the chance to see the new movie. However, I would love to check it out though.
I haven’t seen Top Gun: Maverick yet, but I want to. My son said it was excellent!
My boys saw this film and loved it. It was perfect for my son who is attending Navy Flight school soon.
I’m not a Tom Cruise fan anymore but I loved this movie. I was taken in from the start. The cameos of past actors in the original films was awesome too.
The hubby really wants to go and see this movie. I agree, you always need popcorn when you visit the movies. Hope you had a great time.

Top Gun: Maverick is definitely a film I intend on checking out in the near future. The first one was such a great film! I’m glad I finally gave it a chance!

Top Gun is definitely a great movie to watch and I’ve been wanting to binge-watch shows with Tom Cruise in them.
