The Mister’s friend, Lewis, who’s been his friend since grade school is back in town. He always treats us to dinner when he’s in town, but before we ate, we went to this place first. Both him and the hubs share the same passion, the love of books, not to mention the love of wine. So our first stop was at Book Exchange and Champagne Bar. We’ve been to this place before and he was actually the one who introduced us to this place. I blogged about our first visit HERE.
This place is really nice and cozy. A haven for bookworms, without a doubt.
There are books galore, of course, and pretty neat sitting areas to enjoy a book and a glass of wine or maybe tea.
It is a great place to hang out by yourself or with friends.
The place is like a prettier and a cozier version of a library.
There were quite a few people when we were there but most of them were at the bar while we were in the books section.
But we actually sat at a table and enjoyed drinks first before we perused the books. And Lewis actually got me a book which I am going to share soon.
Here were the drinks that we had.
White Wine
This was Lewis’s. He had a glass of white wine and then ordered another glass afterwards. I think they were two different kinds of white wine. I forgot the names.
Red Wine
Hubby’s first glass of Pinot noir. He ordered another glass of red wine after he finished this but I forgot the name of that one, too. 🙂
Arnold Palmer
And here’s mine. I’ve never had this drink before. It was actually the first time that I’ve heard of such a drink. But it was delicious.
We stayed at the bar for at least an hour just chit chatting and catching up. Then less than an hour at the books section. Afterwards, we walked to the restaurant that we always go to when he’s in town, Lobster Trap, and I’m going to share about that dinner this Friday.
It was a good night with our friend, Lewis. And it was nice to walk around downtown and see how normal it looks post-pandemic.
