It’s Fall y’all! My favorite season is here and I couldn’t be more excited. I’m hoping we get to do some Fall activities this year like visiting a pumpkin patch, perhaps? Or how about apple picking? Or leaf peeping? Or a corn maze? Or a day trip somewhere? We’ll see. I’ll keep you posted, for sure.

I’m not at all a hard rock fan but I love this song, “Nothing Else Matters” a lot by Metallica. I could listen to this song everyday. It’s a classic and just never gets old for me. I love the guitar playing. The lyrics can’t be beat as well.

Watching…
I started watching Virgin River on Netflix last week. I’d heard good things about the show so I decided to watch it. I’m done with Season 1 and I’m now on Season 2. I’m enjoying the show, so far.
The hubs and I are also watching Quantum Leap on NBC. The hubs loved the show from the 90s and this is the sequel. It started last week and the the pilot episode was fun.
Eating…
This is dried squid and this is one of those Filipino goodies that you don’t see in the U.S. supermarkets. Good thing it’s available at an online Filipino store. We usually have this for breakfast together with rice and hard-boiled or sunny-side-up eggs. Yum!
Loving…
Really surprised when the hubs told me that they have a bunch of cactus plant at work. I didn’t know cactus would grow here. I remember we had one exactly like this in my hometown. They were growing like crazy at their office so I told him if it’s okay to grab a few. He said no problem. So he grabbed two and we planted it in our front yard. It’s still alive now which means the hubs has a green thumb. 🙂
Enjoying…
The cool breeze of Autumn. This is one of the things that I love about Fall. It’s not too cold, and it’s not too hot, either. Just the perfect amount.
Looking Forward To…
The leaves changing. Some people have to drive up here to the mountains to enjoy the beautiful Fall colors. We don’t have to because it’s right in our backyard and I can’t wait to see the beauty that Fall brings. This is something that I never got to enjoy in my home country, the Philippines, for we have no changing of the seasons; it’s Summer all year long there!

We’ve started eating all the apples and pumpkins. Two of our favorite things about fall!
We get the cool breeze only in the mornings in Texas. Then it’s back to hot. Ugh.
And I watched the first season of Virgin River but it’s pretty slow to me so I tend to get bored. I might watch the next season at some point.
I planted the same type of cactus in my yard and it is thriving. I started with 6 cati paddles 2 years ago and now I have 10 paddles.
I’m watching Virgin River too. It’s such fun and love the scenery!
I am enjoying this fall weather. I hope it doesn’t get too cold quickly! I like to savor the fall weather and enjoy fall traditions.
Curious to see how you continue to like Virgin River. I love the main characters but there are a few on there that really annoy me.

Metallica is one of my favorite bands. I haven’t listen to one of their songs in years. Thanks for the reminder to add them back to my playlist.
I used to love Quantum Leap. I watched it for years as a child. Dried squid sounds interesting, I’ve not tried that.

I forget that leaf peeping can be a thing with how green everything stays here, Fall is so exciting!
I am currently still waiting for it to start cooling down here. It was 100 yesterday and almost there today too.
I watched those first two seasons of Virgin River too. I liked it quite a bit at first but by the end of season 2 it felt like rinse, recycle, repeat. I’ll see if I like it again when the next season starts up.
Have to add the Netflix show to my ‘watch’ list – and I never hear of that squid!

I have been writing a lot lately, and I’m getting faster at it lol. I enjoy metallica songs too, but lately it’s korean songs for me.
