Belated Merry Christmas! How was your celebration? I hope it was merry!
Christmas is my absolute favorite time of the year. I think I have said that many times here on the blog already, but I just want to say it one more time for my last Currently post for the year. I have been doing this series for a few years now and it’s always fun for me to share what I am currently enjoying in almost everything that life has to offer. And I think it’s already a given to create a special edition for Christmas on this fun series. So here you go!
As a yearly tradition, we celebrated Christmas Eve with my brother-in-law and his family. We ate, we talked and then we opened gifts. Then for Christmas Day, we just stayed home and opened gifts. I prepared a breakfast casserole and enjoyed it for breakfast and even for dinner. Yum!
Listening…
It’s already the day after Christmas but I am still listening to Christmas music. It is usually like that over here until the New Year.
Watching…
I’ve already shared all the Christmas movies that I have watched and still like to watch over and over again. Last night, we watched the iconic ‘It’s a Wonderful Life.” It’s one of hubby’s all-time favorites and I like it too. We have seen it several times as well. It’s one of those movies that never gets old, for sure.
Loving…
I curated a list of gifts that I like for the hubs so it’ll be easier for him to shop, and he delivered. But aside from it, he also got a few more pretty things for me that were not on the list. He can really be sneaky. I am also glad that he loved the gifts that I gave him and our son loves the things that he received as well.
My sister-in-law gifted me this apron. She created it herself. Isn’t it sweet and thoughtful? I have always loved personalized gifts.
And she created one for my son as well. How cute is this?!
Eating…
We still have a lot of leftovers here and I’m not sure if we will be able to eat them all before they get spoiled. 🙂
And we have all these chocolates. We have continued the tradition given to the Hubs by his late Mama, a nostalgic tradition which he loves. She would always get a box of Whitman’s Sampler every year when he was a chocolate loving child. Though the tradition lapsed for a few years after her passing, he reawakened it to share with me ever since my arrival into his life. And it’s the only thing sitting underneath the Christmas tree now.
My son with a little help from me prepared this Tiramisu and we took some over at my in-laws’ house on Christmas Eve. It is one of our favorite desserts and it was so good. I will share more about this on Friday for my Foodie Friday post.
Drinking…
You do know that we are fans of the show, Yellowstone, right? So after the hubs learned about the Yellowstone bourbon whiskey, he bought him a bottle. He’s already had a few shots, but not me. I just smelled it. I don’t know if I’ll ever have the guts to taste it. LOL.
Looking Forward To…
There are only a few more days left of 2022. The holidays ending is always bittersweet for me, but I also look forward to what the new year brings. So I am looking forward to 2023!
How about you? Any Currently you want to share?
