It’s the first month of the new year and here goes my Currently post again. I’ve been doing this monthly for a few years now and I’m still loving all the sharing that I do on these posts, so I’m going to continue.
Why Mall Edition you might ask? Well, the hubs and I hadn’t been to the Mall in a while because we’ve been doing most of our gift shopping online. But we had to go this time because I wanted to check on something in person.
Enjoying…
And what a great day out that was! There were not too many people at the mall that day and we really perused and enjoyed its entirety like it was our first time to visit. There were a few new stores which was a delight, but also sad to see some stores that we’ve been to before had already closed.
Loving…
The stores that we checked still had their Winter Sale going on and they were up to 70% off. Don’t you just love a good sale? I scored a few items and was so happy with the total price that I had to pay.
Listening…
After browsing the Mall and getting what I needed, we got hungry and needed to grab a bite. My sister-in-law’s nephew just opened a restaurant at the Mall so that was where we went. While waiting for our orders, this video, “The Reason” by Hoobastank was played on their huge TV. I remember liking this song back in the day. It just had a good tune to it. They also played more songs that really made me nostalgic. Such great selections of songs they had.
Eating…
I love funnel cake and I used to only have it when there’s a fair or during the 4th of July celebration. But not anymore because my SIL nephew’s restaurant offers it. My husband was stunned when I ordered two. LOL. I didn’t eat it all there, though. I brought home the rest because I know my son loves it too.
The hubs ordered their hotdog and chili and he really enjoyed it so much that he muttered that it was the best and most delicious hot dog and chili he had in a long time. I forgot to take a picture of it because my focus was already on the funnel cakes in front of me.
Watching…
Not Mall related but let me just share with you what we’re currently watching or what I just finished watching.
Emily in Paris on Netflix. I’ve been waiting for Season 3 so I binge-watched it as soon as it came out. You got to love Lily Collins. She is just so pretty and adorable, and so fun to watch. You got to love all the outfits too. Just so fab!
Suits on Prime Video. I was browsing their list of TV series to watch when I came across this show. I remember it was the show where Meghan Markle was in. I checked it out of curiosity to see how she did and I must say, she was good at it. The two lead male actors were good as well, not to mention they very good looking. It was a really good show and I really enjoyed watching it.
Mayfair Witches on AMC. Based on the novel by Anne Rice, this is what the hubs and I are currently watching. It just started a few weeks back and it’s a good one. I remember the lead actress, Alexandra Daddario from the Percy Jackson film series which my son and I enjoyed watching before. So I when I saw the trailer for this show, I told the hubs that we need to watch it.
Keep Breathing on Netflix. We are also watching this survival drama and it’s also a good one.
Looking Forward To…
February is the most celebrated month over here and I am so looking forward to celebrating all those special occasions.

Ooh, I love it when stores go on sale, especially when they offer huge discounts.
Currently, we’re looking forward to my son’s prom which happens next month. It’s his first, and I’m more excited than him, haha. 🙂
I haven’t been to the mall since we went to the aquarium. The aquarium is located inside of the mall along with a few other attractions. The other malls are pretty bare though or was went I went over 3 years ago.
Oh wow, 70% off in the sales is pretty awesome. It can be a great time to stock up on various items from homeware to clothing.
That funnel cake looks so good and my DiL recently got into Emily in Paris, she likes it but described it as one social dumpster fire after another- very addicting.
I love Emily in Paris and of course I’ve watched the third season already. It’s a film that make you dream!
