What comes to your mind when you think of a Valentine’s Day dinner? A fancy dinner? For us this year, it was BBQ!
We don’t go out to eat during Valentine’s Day because restaurants are always packed. We just always enjoy a delicious dinner at home. This time around, our son was craving for smoked brisket. The idea sounded good so BBQ it was.
There are a few good BBQ restaurants here in the city, but we opted for Luella’s Bar-B-Que because of their brisket.
Chopped Pork BBQ Sandwich with Hush Puppies

This was hubby’s choice and did he ever gobble it whole?! LOL. He really enjoyed his meal.
Spicy Vinegar Slaw

And this was the additional side that he ordered. I don’t like spicy food so I didn’t try to taste it, though according to the hubby, it wasn’t spicy at all; just vinegar tarty. And he wasn’t pleased with it for the slaw he’s accustomed to is made with mayonnaise or salad dressing.
Better Than Dad’s Deviled Eggs

Such a cute name, don’t you think? The hubs was craving deviled eggs so he ordered this as well. We had the food delivered and it got topsy-turvy while on its way. LOL. Both the hubs and our son enjoyed them though. I already had a couple of eggs that day so I didn’t eat any of these.
Chopped Pork with Fried Okra & Hush Puppies

Here’s mine. I have always enjoyed fried okra. Their hush puppies were good too.
Sliced Rubbed Beef Brisket Tray

My son’s order. I had a bite and it was really good. Can’t remember the last time I’ve had brisket. I think it was still in my hometown when I had it prepared the Filipino way. But it was also good.
French Fries & Hush Puppies

My son’s sides. If they have french fries, then that would be his first choice for his side; always.
There you have it. Our delicious Valentine’s Day BBQ dinner.
Happy Foodie Friday, friends!
All the food looks amazing! But the beef brisket is the best! Mmmm….
Deviled eggs are always my favorite bbq side but there are so many good options!
Wow! All of these looks absolutely delicious and tasty! I love that beef brisket!
