Yep, he is now 20!
His 20th birthday fell on a day while we were on vacation to our hometown in the Philippines, so I already planned ahead that we were going to give him a party. The last time he had a party there was on his 7th birthday.
But there was another event that was going to happen on the actual date of his birthday so we had this party a few days in advance.
There’s the handsome birthday boy plus all the delicious food that we filled our hungry tummies with.
I also got a cake made for him. My idea was a camouflage cake but the maker didn’t get it exactly as what I had envisioned. But it’s okay. The cake was still delicious.
2-in-1 Celebration
My brother-in-law was actually also celebrating his birthday a few days before my son’s. So my sister and I had decided to just have one party for the both of them. The party actually fell on the day of my brother-in-law’s birthday itself. It was just the perfect day to celebrate their birthdays because it was also a Saturday.
My brother-in-law turned 52 and of course, my son, 20. I love those birthday decors. I got the rose gold party decor on Amazon while my Aunt purchased the gold numbers at a store in the city.
There they are…the two birthday celebrants all smiles and giving a thumb’s up first before blowing the candle on their cakes.
A roasted pig, or what is popularly known in the Philippines as Lechon, always almost graces parties there. My son specifically asked for a Lechon on his birthday and I didn’t have second thoughts of saying yes because I wanted it, too. And the Hubs had fell in love with this dish the first time he ever encountered it on his first visit there to meet me.
We invited family and friends including some of my son’s godmothers, and it was fun catching up with them while enjoying good food and some delicious drinks.
I am just so glad that my son had a wonderful 20th birthday celebration with our family in the Philippines. It couldn’t get any better than that.
