I wasn’t able to share a Currently post in April because there was just so much to share about our trip to my home country. But for this month of May, I want to make sure to share a special edition for Mother’s Day because it is a special day after all. So here you go.

My husband and son gave me this pot of roses. I have always loved roses. Red roses to be precise. It was actually my choice of flowers on our wedding day. And I love that it is in a pot. It will live longer than a bouquet, for sure.

My husband has created poems for me in the past, and this Mother’s Day, he surprised me with another beautiful poem. Here it is.
The two of us, had Mothers, that filled our lives, with total care and love.
But they’ve now moved on, to their rewards, in that sacred land above.
Tho’ gone away, from our earthly sight, forevermore,
They’ll remain alive, in our hearts and minds, ’till we meet again, on the celestial shore.
And now it’s you, who took on the task, of being the special one,
To raise a child, from birth to man, your heavenly gift, a son.
So on this day, to you is sent, loving adoration,
To a special Anghel, who’s filled our lives, with love and pure compassion.

Our neighbor, Katie, also surprised me with this that her husband, Andrew, delivered to the house. They have a flower garden and those flowers were from their garden. How sweet!
Eating…
We didn’t go out to eat because we knew restaurants can be packed on Mother’s Day. So, we ordered from Red Lobster instead and had them deliver it. Here are the delicious goodies that we had.

Admiral’s Feast
This feast was consisted of fried shrimp, bay scallops, clam strips and wild-caught flounder. It was served with cocktail and tartar sauces plus two sides…french fries and baked potato.
Biscuits
And they also gave us free biscuits.
Tiramisu
I specifically requested Tiramisu as our dessert. I was craving for it and the hubs gladly obliged and bought it for me.
Looking Forward To…
I am looking forward to Father’s Day. We always celebrate the hubs on this day and I can’t wait to surprise him.

You are so blessed to have such a loving relationship with your husband. I had mine for 29 happy years before God took him home.
I to did not go out on Mothers Day. We had pizza at the park with the grandkids.
