And here it is…the main reason why we took that one-month vacation was to attend my niece’s wedding. She asked us (my husband and I) to be their Godparents and asked our son to be the Bible Bearer, and we all said yes! We couldn’t have been more excited to celebrate their special union and be a part of the ceremony, not to mention, it had been almost five years since we’d made the long journey half-way round the world to my home country, the Philippines, so we grabbed the opportunity.
If you remember, I previously shared the Bridal Shower that we surprised her with, and here are some of the pictures taken during the wedding.
The Invitation
My niece created the invitations herself. There were three cards – this one, then the card with the list of the Wedding Party members, and the card for the other details like the wedding colors, attire, etc.
The Newlyweds
A Catholic wedding ceremony lasts an hour. And there they were after they were pronounced husband and wife.
The Venue
This was the VIP table where we were seated at the wedding reception. The members of the Wedding Party as well as some of the family members were seated at these tables.
The Cake
This chocolate-flavored cake was so good!
The Toast
Each guest was given a glass of champagne for the wedding toast.
The Favors
Only the Godparents received the wedding favors. They gave away coasters made of wood, and I like how they personalized them.
There’s the hubs’ favor for being the Godfather.
And there’s mine for being the Godmother.
The Godparents & the Bible Bearer
And there we are with the bride and groom. This photo was taken after the program at the reception. Some of the guests had already left. And as you can see, I already turned my clutch bag into a cross-body bag. Got to love the versatility of my handbag.
We were so happy to celebrate their union with them, and we wished them both all the love and happiness in the world!
