A few days before our trip back to the United States, we took my sister and her family out for a dinner treat. They’d been taking us everywhere and feeding us all the delicious Filipino food that you could think of during our recent trip to my hometown. So to show our appreciation and thanking them for their graciousness, we took them to a restaurant that my son had been wanting to go to, a Korean BBQ restaurant called Samgyupsaab. My son had been to a Korean BBQ restaurant in Miami and he really enjoyed the experience and the food so he wanted us to experience it, too.
This restaurant is located at one of the biggest malls in my hometown and they offer unlimited food which means you can eat to your heart’s content.
There were different kinds of meat that you get to grill yourself like beef and pork that were already seasoned.
There was also vegetables, and an egg dish that you could cook on their special kind of grill.
This is the grill that I’m talking about. My brother-in-law and my nephew did the cooking for us while we did the eating. My sister also cooked the egg.
I don’t know the name of this noodle dish with vegetables.
And they also served sushi.
And dessert. This is a mixture of vanilla and chocolate ice cream.
And there we are. From left is my nephew, my sister, my brother-in-law, my son, yours truly and my husband.
We all couldn’t fit at one table so they got the table adjacent to us. From left is my niece’s husband, my niece, my Aunt, my other niece and her boyfriend.
Everything at the restaurant was delicious. We would have ordered more food if there was more time, but they had to close at 9 o’clock which was the time the Mall closes.
How about you? Have you had a Korean dinner before? Did you enjoy it?
