Goodbye, June! Hello, July! What are you excited about July aside from the 4th of July? If you ask me, well…it’s the Christmas in July. Christmas is my absolute favorite time of the year so I always look forward to July because of the Christmas movies on Hallmark Channel. I’ve been watching Christmas movies since this weekend, actually. Anyone else? 🙂
Anyhoo, for the month of June, I continued to tell tales about our one-month trip to my home country. And my stories will continue this month. For now, check on what you might have missed last month. Here’s the June recap for you.
Friends & Family Get-togethers
We spent a lot of family time during our trip. We ate, we talked, we laughed, we giggled, we chuckled and more. And my son got to enjoy fun times with his cousins.
I spent time with my good friends as well. Friends that I’ve had since college, friends from my first job and friends from my last job. There’s never a dull moment with them and that’s why we love to hangout.
Cheers to Good Friends and Good Food!
We All Love Food
Like I mentioned above, we did a lot of eating. What can I say? We all love to eat.
I got to try new goodies that my family introduced me to, and I got to indulge in Filipino delicacies, and so on and so forth. Nom!
Kakanin: A Delightful Filipino Delicacy
Korean Bun and Purple Yam Cake
And that’s a wrap for the June recap!
June was a great month. Our friend in the Philippines, actually lifelong friend my husband went to school with who now lives there, came to the U.S. again and we went on a day trip to places we’d never been. I will share about that trip soon.
How about you? How was your June? Happy 4th of July! And Happy Christmas in July, too! 🙂
