My Currently post is supposed to be a monthly thing, but due to our recent trip to my home country as well as my husband’s best friend’s visit, I decided to just skip the series in the meantime to give way to all the fun and exciting tales that I needed to tell about the trip and the visit. There were a lot to tell and I had so much fun sharing them all. If you missed them, you can find the trip stories HERE and the husband’s best friend’s visit HERE.
It’s also fun for me to share what I’m currently enjoying, loving and all of the above. So I’m definitely not ditching this series.
Watching…
Did you know that our favorite MLB team, the Atlanta Braves are currently the #1 team in the regular season overall Major League Baseball standings with 80 wins? If you’re a baseball fan like us, you would get excited, too if your team is doing so awesome. So, yes, that’s what we’re currently watching, baseball games. Go Braves!
Listening…
Whether you’re a Swiftie or not, I think you’ve already heard of Taylor Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour. I haven’t watched the tour, but clips of it are all over my FYP on TikTok. And although she has a lot of songs that I like, I picked this song, “22” because of what she does in the Tour when she sings this song.
If you haven’t seen the Tour, she would always give the hat she was wearing to a kid, and during her first show in California, she gave the hat to Kobe Bryant’s daughter Bianka. The moment was really touching. I can just imagine the impact that Taylor gives to those kids. Simply admirable!
Reading…
My sister-in-law was the one who introduced me to Colleen Hoover. Then I came across blog posts and Instagram posts about her. So I decided to give it a go and I’ve been hooked ever since. I’ll be talking more about these books soon.
Enjoying…
These photos were taken by my husband so, yes, he was the one who enjoyed these cuteness, but I just want to share.
They have this bird house at work. Look how adorable that cardinal is!
And there’s a Carolina wren. I like that you can see through this bird house. I would love to have one here at home, but having a bird feeder is not advisable to have here because it attracts bears. We still have a lot of different kinds of birds frolicking in our yard, though, so I’ll just enjoy watching them there.
Eating…
I prepared this Jollibee copycat garlic pepper beef after seeing it on TikTok and we really liked it. I will share more about this dish on my Foodie Friday post.
Looking Forward To…
September! It’s my birth month, not to mention it’s the start of the “ber” months which means one thing: Christmas is right around the corner which is my favorite time of the year. And if you don’t know yet, Christmas starts in September in my home country, the Philippines. 🙂
How about you? Any Currently you want to share?

August has just been a whirlwind. I am looking forward to September though. We’re going on our first vacation since the lockdowns!

Aw, what cute birds!
I read Colleen Hoover too. I like her books but they all start to basically seem the same plot so I’ve given her a break for a bit.

Wow Lyndee, your august has truly been fruitful, for me as usual a busy month. I guess I am married to my work.
Marie Gizelle says
Is this a meme? I just hopped from a blog with the same topic. Great prompt. Great stack of books, I’m afraid I haven’t read a book in a while. Enjoy the rest of August!
Kathy says
Colleen Hoover is such a great writer. I love reading some of her books as well. Such great books.
Tara Pittman says
So cool to see a bird up close. I need one of those bird houses for my window.
Savita says
It is intriguing to get a glimpse of august month through this blog, loved it.
MELANIE E says
I love that bird house. That is fun to have on a window. The cardinal is gorgeous. I’m hoping to get one of those to see the birds coming to feed before winter as they need it then the most. That is such a lovely idea!!! The beef sounds great, I’m hoping you’ll share the recipe x
Heather says
Yes!!! We are huge Atlanta Braves fans in this house. Nothing but baseball in our house at all times.
Lynndee says
Yeah!
Having that birdhouse on your window is really cute and amazing!
I tried my first Colleen Hoover book recently, and it was so good! (Verity).
It is good that you have kept busy with your travels and visits.
I haven’t read that one yet. Soon! 🙂
Wow! I really love that birdhouse! My daughter would love this for sure
You made me curious about Colleen Hoover ! I need to find out more about her!
It was such an exciting and eventful past month or so, we can’t blame you and besides, you’re right- there were a lot of great stories!
I keep hearing more about Colleen Hoover lately, I’ll have to check out one of her books!
I am yet to try Colleen Hoover’s books and hope to read one soon (I do have a couple of books with me at home already!) And that bird house is so cool – i need to get one for our yard (thankfully no bear fear but other critters are there for sure)
I love listening to Taylor Swift music. She is such a talented singer and songwriter. I’d love to see her in concert but I’m too poor for that. Lol
It seems like you had a great collection of books! I will add them to my collection too! Thanks for sharing
August had been amazing to me. Work started up and school is in session, discovering a new author to read as well.
