Goodbye, July! Hello, August! Days sure are flying by. And I am not the only one noticing, even the hubs has noticed. How about you? Does it feel the same way for you?
Anyhoo, I continued and finished all the tales to be told about our 30-day vacation to my home country in July. I started telling the stories, one at a time, in April, and since there were a lot to be told, it took me more than three months to finish. It was fun telling all those stories because it took me back in time to those fun and exciting moments we had. Life is good.
Here’s the recap for July. Check on what you might have missed.
Linguini with Red Clam Sauce
After being with my family in my hometown for many days, we flew to Manila and stayed with my husband’s best friend, Lewis’, in Batangas, a 2-hour drive south of Manila. We stayed there for 5 days as per his best friend’s request and they treated us to good food, good times and lots of fun adventures.
Lewis loves to cook and he prepared this linguini with red clam sauce one night and he served it with wine.
Trip to Taal Volcano
They also took us to see the Taal Volcano. This very active volcano is located in Batangas and is one of the Philippines’ famous tourist attractions.
Lunch in Tagaytay
We had lunch at this restaurant that serves delicious Filipino food after seeing Taal Volcano.
Batangas Road Trip
We then headed to other parts of Batangas after enjoying lunch.
Impromptu Coffee Break at The Manila Hotel
Then on our last day, we had a tour of Manila before they took us to the airport. Having this coffee break wasn’t in the plan, but impromptu trips almost always ends up fun and exciting, don’t they?
Riding High on the MOA Eye
After enjoying the coffee break, we then headed to the bay area. The hubs and my son totally enjoyed this ride.
The Magnificent Sunset Over Manila Bay
We then waited for the sunset and enjoyed its magnificence.
Unexpected Trip to San Francisco
Our trip back home had a little hiccup, but even though it took us more hours to arrive home than the original itinerary, I still enjoyed that “side trip” to San Francisco.
And that’s a wrap!
Summer is still in full swing and since we already had our vacation in the spring, our summer is pretty chill. We did watch the movie, Oppenheimer a few days ago and it’s definitely a good one.
How about you? How was your July? Here’s to a great August!
