We are all seafood lovers over here. If you’ve been following our blog, I believe you already know that by now because other than talking about it in the past, I’ve also shared a lot of seafood dishes from restaurants where we have eaten and seafood recipes that I have prepared.
That being said, crab cakes are one of our favorites to have for dinner. My son and I always pair them with steamed jasmine rice but the husband still prefers pairing them with his favorite potatoes along with slaw.
But I’ve just been always buying the crab cakes that you can find at the supermarket, until I came across this crab cake recipe on TikTok. I knew for certain I had to give it a try.
I like how easy it is so make. You just have to combine all the ingredients then create patties out of the mixture, and voila! You have yourself crab cakes.
The recipe creator used canned crab meat. I would have loved to use fresh crab meat if fresh crabs were available here, but unfortunately, seeing that I’m no longer in the Philippines where my home city was right on the shore, fresh fish are at best about 400 miles from my front door.
I don’t always go for canned meat, but I tried the recipe anyway. That’s how much I was enticed to try this crab cake recipe.
You can either air fry or bake them. I love using my air fryer, but I decided to bake them.
And they were really good! Even my husband and son thought so, too.
The creator also prepared a dip for the crab cakes. I didn’t prepare it because we already have a store-bought dip that we chose to use.
