My husband always says that his birthday is just another day. Not for me! I believe celebrating another birthday is a blessing because not all are lucky enough to get to celebrate another birthday. What’s your stand on that subject?
But I always make sure that any birthday is celebrated with good food and surprises over here. It’s that special! And regardless of my husband’s cynicism regarding his special day, he always makes sure to treat me.
Here’s what happened on my birthday this year.
Loving…
As always, my husband and son surprised me with sweet gifts and I love them all. Giving you a sneak peek of one of the pretty little things below.
Eating…
We went out to one of our favorite seafood restaurants for dinner, Red Lobster, and of course, I ordered lobster. Having lobster was just what the doctor ordered for the birthday girl. LOL.
My son loves their biscuits. I love them, too, but I just had a bite because I don’t want to ruin my dinner.
My drink of choice, as always, not unless the restaurant don’t have it. My husband and my son had water.
But the hubs also ordered a dirty martini. Martini is his newest favorite alcoholic drink, though the Scot-Irish in him prefers Bushmills Irish whiskey, and the mountain boy loves his George Dickel Tennessee Sour Mash Bourbon.
This calamari is to-die-for! Doesn’t it look superb? My son took this photo. Such a great capture.
My son was craving soup and ordered this bowl of New England clam chowder.
I must admit, this is always the entrée that I order whenever we’re there. What can I say? This is simply the best for me. There’s lobster, salmon, shrimp, broccoli and orzo rice. Super duper yummy!
My husband was also craving for lobster so he ordered this lobster tail.
He also ordered this bacon mac and cheese.
Here’s my son’s plate. He preferred pasta that night and ordered this shrimp linguini Alfredo.
We had tiramisu for dessert that we bought from a local supermarket. It was the only dessert I wanted that night and we enjoyed it when we got home. But I forgot to take a photo of it. Sorry! 🙂
It was such a wonderful birthday for me and I am thankful and grateful.
How about you? Any Currently you want to share?

Yep! 😊
Looks like you had an amazing day! And wow I haven’t been to Red Lobster in a while. Need to change that 🙂
It sure was amazing! Thank you!
We always love going to Red Lobster. I pig out on those biscuits. I don’t like seafood so I always get their cajun pasta.
Happy belated birthday! Looks like you had a great time at Red Lobster! I love going to that restaurant too!
Thank you!
Happy birthday! It certainly looks like you celebrate it well! Good for you!

I would love to go and visit that restaurant! Happy birthday!
Thank you!
Sounds like you had a great birthday. I love your choice of restaurants.
Thank you!
Happy birthday. I hope you had a great one. Red lobster is yummy. It’s been a while since I’ve been there. It’s way on the other side of the metroplex.
Thank you! It was great!
Oh my. Everything looks so good.
Now I want to go to Red Lobster. I haven’t been there in ages and those dishes look so good! Happy Birthday.
Thank you!
All of these dishes look so delicious, especially the sea food!
SEafood is one of my favourites. It sounds like you had a really lovely time there. I like the sound of a dirty martini although I’ve not tried one before. The calamari looks sooooooo yummy. Hope you had a wonderful birthday.
I certainly did. Thank you!
All these seafood dished look so inviting! I would like a lobster right now!
Wow, the food looks delicious and it makes me want to try it. Made me hungry yummmm
So many tasty foods! I hear you about not eating too much bread before digging into a meal. Good for you having self control – I always seem to ruin my appetite!
Red Lobster has a great fettucinni too. I love their biscuits.
I’m glad that your husband had a wonderful day. He is truly blessed. Thanks for sharing this with us.
It was my birthday, not his. 😊
