My son and I love salmon. We always have it regularly, actually. Meanwhile, my husband is not much of a fan. He still eats it if it was what I have prepared, though. He doesn’t have a choice. LOL.
I have tried many different salmon recipes in the past and I have shared them here on the blog. I’m going to share the links to those recipes below.
Then I came across this foil packet salmon and broccoli recipe on TikTok. I love broccoli as well, but it was the marinade that enticed me. It is just a combination of things that sounded so good.
The content creator used broccolini but since I had leftover broccoli, I used it instead. I am going to try using broccolini next time, though. I like broccolini, too.
Much to my husband’s dismay, he’s not a fan of salmon and he’s not a fan of broccoli either. He prefers cauliflower over broccoli. So just imagine the look on his face when he saw this dish on his plate. 🙂
Well, maybe next time I will try using cauliflower. I like cauliflower, too. I like all kinds of vegetables. And I think cauliflower would also be a delicious substitute to broccoli.
This was such a healthy and fulfilling dish. I really enjoyed it. As usual, I paired it with steamed Jasmine rice. My son enjoyed it, too. He said the flavor was something different from what I usually prepared.

Cooking fish in a foil packet is probably one of my most favorite methods! Adding broccoli will definitely elevate this.
