Last week, the hubs got a surprise call from his nephew that he wanted to treat us to breakfast. Too funny because as per the hubs, he was just thinking about what to eat for breakfast at that very moment when his nephew called. He must have picked up the hubs’ vibes. Or must be a genetic family thing linked to family history. 🙂
I didn’t go with them because I wasn’t prepared, not to mention, I wasn’t feeling like going out. So, it became an uncle-nephew date which was sweet because it sure made my husband’s day.
They went to First Watch. We went to this restaurant in Charleston, South Carolina before and really enjoyed the food. It was our son who told us about the place because his buddies took him there when they were in Virginia.
I told the hubs that I will just have his leftovers if he had any. And surprisingly, he did. He usually would devour everything that is on his plate.
Here are the goodies that we both enjoyed.
Bacado Omelet
This omelet had bacon, avocado and Monterey Jack in it and it was topped with sour cream and served with a side of Pico de gallo. This was such a hearty dish. I was surprised to see the avocado, but I love avocado, and the flavors blended so well. Nom!
Fresh, Seasoned Potatoes
He also ordered this side and a cup of coffee. This was such a flavorful side.
Their servings were big thus, the leftovers. I actually ate half of the leftovers only and had them with steamed brown rice. Yep, I must admit, I sometimes double my carbs.
It was an absolute breakfast delight!
How about you? Have you eaten at First Watch? Do tell me about it.
Happy Foodie Friday, friends!

We have a First Watch here in Maryland and I enjoy their food. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day so I am always down for that.

Always start with eggs, protein and such – the omelet is best but not much starch….it will slow you through the day. 🙂

We have a first watch here in the Fort Worth area. I haven’t been there before. I’m not a huge breakfast fan though. I’d rather have lunch or dinner.

The breakfast is the important part you should’nt miss since it gets you up and running throughout the day. Those dishes look delicious and would love to try the bacado omelet
