We attended my great-niece’s wedding on Saturday which was held in a farm at a neighboring town. The name of the place is Lewis Farm. This great-niece of ours was one of the flower girls in our wedding. Time sure flies!
It has been a dream of mine for like a few years now to have a farm. Although I must admit that I don’t want animals in it. I just want the serenity and the views that it offers. I do love to have a flower garden and perhaps some chickens so I can have some fresh eggs. Back in my hometown, my Mom used to have chickens and we would have fresh eggs.
It was mine and the hubs first time to have attended a wedding that was held on a farm. The farm boasts views of the Blue Ridge mountains as you can see in the photo above.
The wedding ceremony was held at the farm’s chapel with the mountains as backdrop. Too bad I didn’t get to take any photos of it.
Then the reception was held at the farm’s barn. But before we had the banquet at the barn, a snack was served at one of the farm’s pavilions while we were waiting for the newlyweds to have all their photos taken. They served Mexican food for snacks and dinner. Just what I like.
So, with this dream of mine to have a farm with a beautiful little white modern farmhouse sitting in the middle, surrounded with beautiful flowers and have mountains or rolling hills as views, I am leaving y’all with this inspiring quote below. A girl can dream, right?

The Mexican food must have been great. I bet the wedding was really good fun. I think a farm with just the basics like chickens would be easy enough to manage.
My sister had her wedding at a farm too. It was cool but she got married in August so it was very hot here in Texas. Congratulations to your niece. I hope they live happily ever after.

I am so for weddings like these and my cousin did somethign similar and it was my favorite wedding ever. Good food too! Love it and you must ahve had a great time 😉
