Christmas is my favorite time of the year and one of the things that I enjoy doing is watching Christmas movies. And I watch them everywhere from the Hallmark Channel to Netflix and to anywhere I can find a good one on cable.
I do have my favorites to watch over and over again. Those movies just never get old for me. There are Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, Elf and The Christmas Chronicles to name a few. I also have my favorite Hallmark movies, but there are just too many of them for me to write them down here. The hubs shared his favorites before, too.
With those Christmas movies come great movie quotes so I’ve rounded up the best Christmas movie quotes. I know there are a lot out there, but these are the best for me.
1) It’s a Wonderful Life (1947)
Every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings.
2) Miracle on 34th Street (1947)
Faith is believing in things when common sense tells you not to.
3) White Christmas (1954)
If you’re worried and you can’t sleep, count your blessings instead of sheep. Then you’ll fall asleep counting your blessings.
4) Rudolph, The Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964)
A toy is never truly happy until it is loved by a child.
5) A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965)
I never thought it was such a bad little tree. It’s not bad at all really. Maybe it just needs a little love.
6) Frosty the Snowman (1969)
There’s a certain magic that comes with the very first snow. For when the first snow is also a Christmas snow, well, something wonderful is bound to happen.
7) A Christmas Story (1983)
Christmas was on its way. Lovely, glorious, beautiful Christmas, upon which the entire kid year revolved.
8) Scrooged (1988)
It’s Christmas Eve. It’s the one night of the year when we all act a little nicer, we smile a little easier, we cheer a little more.
9) Home Alone (1990)
This is Christmas. The season of perpetual hope.
10) The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
11) The Santa Clause (1994)
Just because you can’t see something, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
12) Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)
What if Christmas, he thought, doesn’t come from a store. What if Christmas … perhaps … means a little bit more!
13) Elf (2003)
The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.
14) A Christmas Carol (2009)
I will honor Christmas in my heart and try to keep it all the year.
15) Klaus (2019)
A true selfless act always sparks another.
There you go!
How about you? Do you have any favorite Christmas movie quote?

A toy is never truly happy until it is loved by a child…This is so beautiful. I don’t know why I thought this was said in a Toy Story movie…I love the quote.

For me my go to movies every year are Elf, The Grinch and then Love Actually and The Holiday. I think that Elf is such a quotable movie, I love the one you picked but there are so many aren’t there?! x

I love reading through these Christmas quotes. My favourite Christmas movie is probably Home Alone as it reminds me of being a kid myself.
These were all so nice to read and really think about. I love the quote from the Scrooged. I can relate myself specifically because Christmas is just a very joyful holiday!
