Aside from watching Christmas movies, one of the many things that I also enjoy doing is listening to Christmas music. I have my playlist on my phone but I also listen to either our Echo Dot or on a cable channel while I’m in front of the computer doing my online tasks or while I’m doing household chores.
There are a lot of Christmas songs and carols out there but these are my favorites.
1) “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” by Band Aid
I love 80s music and 80s Christmas music is no exception. This song was released in the UK in 1984 and it was written to raise money for the famine in Ethiopia. The song was sang by a group of popular British and Irish musical acts like Sting, Bono and Paul Young, to name a few.
2) “Last Christmas” by Wham!
This song was released in 1984 as well by the British pop duo George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley also known as Wham! It’s currently playing now while I’m writing this.
3) “Grown-Up Christmas List” by Amy Grant
There are many versions of this song but it is Amy Grant’s version that I like the most which she recorded in 1992. It was written by David Foster and Linda Thompson-Jenner.
4) “It’s Christmas All Over the World ” by Sheena Easton
Another 80s Christmas song. Scottish singer Sheena Easton sang this song and it was released in 1985.
5) “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” by Andy Williams
Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year indeed. Well, for me, at least. This song was released in 1963 and it never gets old.
6) “All I Want For Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey
Released in 1994, this song is considered to be the bestselling Christmas song of all-time in the U.S. And it looks like it still is on the top of the list every year.
7) “Underneath the Tree” by Kelly Clarkson
This song was chosen as the best holiday song of 2013 by Billboard editors. I like how cheery the tune of this song is.
8) “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot like Christmas” by Michael Bublé
I can’t help but sing this line every time I am done decorating the house. Don’t you do, too? There are many different versions of this song which was written in 1951 but I like Michael Bublé’s version.
9) “You Make It Feel Like Christmas” by Gwen Stefani
Featuring Blake Shelton, this song was released in 2017 with a blend of both pop and country. I like listening to country music as well so this was a hit for me.
10) “Christmas Tree Farm” by Taylor Swift
Written and recorded by no other than, Tay Tay in 2019, this song with a catchy tune and nostalgic lyricism was regarded as one of the best Christmas songs by music critics.
There you go, my Christmas playlist!
How about you? Do you love listening to Christmas music, too?
Merry Christmas to you and yours!

I am a huge fan of Christmas songs and movies and have all these already in my playlist as I listen to them when wrapping presents or on boxing day whilst eating leftover turkey sandwiches
