Went to the mall with the hubs a few days ago to do some Christmas shopping and decided to have lunch afterwards at this Asian restaurant called Mr. Tea Asian Bistro. It was never in our plan to eat there, but saw it on our way out, and since we hadn’t eaten there before, we decided to sample their food. And they did not disappoint!
The ambiance inside is dim and a little too dark for my liking actually, but the decor is actually nice. And their seats are all booths which are the seats that I prefer more than anything. If a restaurant has booths, that would definitely be where I would sit.
Miso Soup
This miso soup came with the hubs’ order. I had a sip and it was delicious.
General Tso’s Chicken
Here’s the hubs’ order. This is his favorite Chinese dish. And this is the only dish that he would order at an Asian restaurant if it’s on the menu. It was served with shumai, rice, soup and sushi. I like shumai and had a bite. Yum!
Hibachi Tofu
I love a good hibachi and whenever I order one, I always go for the one with tofu. This was so good! Can you tell that the serving is huge? It was! For me, it was good for two people. So guess what? I had leftovers that I brought home, and enjoyed for lunch the following day.
We only had water and they served us bottled water. I think they are still trying to be safe because we had a boil water advisory after Hurricane Helene and although it was already lifted, they didn’t want to take chances.
We enjoyed their food and we both can’t wait to go back and sample the other dishes that they offer. They have a huge menu, by the way.
Happy Foodie Friday, friends!
