This is the first time ever that our son was away at Christmas. But I am happy to report that he is also having a great time in South Korea which makes me a happy mama.
He went out of town with his buddies for Christmas and had so much fun. They took the train, rented a house, and explored this old town that they’d never been to before. He said the town was full of history and charm. They enjoyed the scenery, and of course the food, like they always do whenever they go somewhere.
I love how they were so festive by getting this cake. Look how adorable that reindeer cake is! Bet it was delicious, too! I’ve never had such a very Christmassy cake for Christmas before. It definitely is such a fun idea to have one. Maybe I will get us one next time.
Such a unique and adorable snack!
As per google, this “South Korea bank coin snack refers to a street food in South Korea called “sibwonppang” which is a small bread shaped like a 10-won coin, the smallest denomination in Korean currency, and is typically filled with cheese. It’s often sold in tourist areas like Gyeongju, with the design mimicking the details of the actual 10-won coin.”
Four different drinks and they all look refreshing!
You’ve got to love the looks of that bowl.
That serving plate as well.
They all enjoyed the food and the things that they saw in this town. They sure all had a wonderful Christmastime and I am so happy for my son and for all his buddies. Love how they all love Christmas and knew how to celebrate it to the fullest.

It sounds like he’s had a great adventure! It’s hard to be away from the kids, especially during the holidays, but he’ll never forget this.
