“What are you up to this summer?” That was the question that my nephew asked me yesterday at his daughter’s 12th birthday party. Told him as far as I am concerned, nada. Or nada yet since the husband hasn’t made any definite plans yet on where he’s going to take us. Or if he ever has plans of taking us somewhere. Somewhere out of town, to be precise. Like a short road trip or better yet, a short vacay.

A short road trip would mean spending just a day in a new place. Exploring a new place has always been interesting to me. Even if it would mean just to check for swing sets in stafford va. We’ve never been to Stafford so that would be exciting.

My nephew together with his daughter and parents are going to, Chattanooga, Tennessee for a 4-day vacay this weekend. I’ve never been to the place and perhaps it would be nice to check it out too. Although I must admit, I have a list of places that I want to see first. And I hope to be able to delete one this summer. Only the husband knows though if that’s going to happen. I am absolutely hoping.
