Is it just me or has January seemed to last forever for you too? Not that I’m complaining. Just wondering. Or maybe the bitterly cold days made me feel that way. Or better yet, I am just way too excited for February to arrive. Wink!
Anyhoo, it’s that time again for a recap of the previous month. I always enjoy recapping the previous month, looking back on what we did, enjoyed and indulged ourselves with.
Kicking off the New Year
I started the New Year with a look back on 2018 and my goals for 2019. Hubby had his own version of looking back on the year that was, too.
Family & Fun
Family is everything and it’s always a joy for me to share about my one and only son. The first photo above is one of his creations. Hubby on the other hand celebrates his secondary birthday in January. And as for me, I’ve been enjoying a lot of good stuff lately. Check them all below.
Good Reads
I used to read a lot, but haven’t done it in a while because of the busyness that life brings. Then Hubby got me books to read for Christmas. After I finished reading the first one, I felt so much joy and that gave me the urge to read more again. But Hubby has always been a bookworm and a day is not complete without him reading a book
Get In My Belly
And of course, the food lover that I am, I have to have good food to share.
And there you have it…the whole month of January in one post.
How was your January?

I remember the budding artist in your family from reading other posts. I am very picky about cookbooks. Always wondering if they really do any cooking when it comes to certain famous people.

January seemed too long to me. I’m glad February has arrived because that means it’s getting closer to springtime – my favorite season.

January was busy. My blogging was inconsistent, but my workouts were consistent! I guess self-care won! And that’s okay.
February brings the blog back into focus!

It was the total opposite for us! January flew by in a blink of an eye. How is it February already!? Hope time slows a bit more for us as spring nears

January did seem to take its time passing this year. About the subject of food, your Crispy Fried Calamari looks delicious!

Your son did a great job with his artwork. How old is he?
Lynndee says
Hi Amy! Thank you. He’s 15. 🙂
I love your January cap! You read some great books! I read the Reese cookbook, too!
Oh yes! I am excited for February arrived too! But I can’t wait for March! It’s my favorite month of the year!
Calamari is my absolute favorite and I am dying to check out that Reese Witherspoon cookbook! Sounds like a great month!
Is it bad that I have that Reese Witherspoon book but I haven’t read it yet? Oops!
I have been wanting to read Whiskey in a Tea Cup! I love Reese Witherspoon.
I don’t know, January seemed very fast for me! It’s been a while since I had calamari.
I’m happy to see your son’s artwork again, he’s quite talented! I hope you enjoy all the books you received at Christmas.
Thank you, Beth. Love the books that I got. 🙂
