The hubs already shared a bit of what we did on our 8th wedding anniversary. And here I’ll share with y’all what we filled our tummies with. Also, he didn’t mention about how gorgeous the day was. It was spring-like with the temp in high 60’s. And with the sun shining, it was the perfect day to stroll at one of our favorite spots here in the city, Historic Biltmore Village.
This is where our most favorite restaurant, Corner Kitchen, is located and we’ve been here many times before celebrating special occasions like Mother’s Day or Hubby’s birthday. And our 8th wedding anniversary lunch date there won’t be the last, for sure. We even had an impromptu breakfast date there too.
Corner Kitchen Lunch Menu
I was really delighted to see the Filipino Adobo Wrap on the menu. Adobo is one of the most popular Filipino dishes and one of my favorites, but I haven’t tried it on a wrap before. I wasn’t into eating pork for lunch, though so I didn’t order it.
Coffee & Water
As usual, Hubby had coffee. I only drink coffee in the morning, but I did have a sip of his cup.
Meyer Lemonade
I had lemonade. A sweet glass of cold lemonade.
Corn & Crab Chowder with Fresh Cilantro
Hubby ordered a bowl of soup as a starter. I didn’t order any starter because I was pretty sure, my entree would be more than what my little tummy could handle. 🙂
Beef on Weck
Hubby’s entree’. Roast beef dipped in au jus and topped with horseradish butter, provolone, and served on a toasted caraway crusted kaiser roll.
Petite Filet
My entree’. It’s grilled steak with rosemary-black pepper potatoes, grilled asparagus and red wine demi-glace. So good! And the steak was so tender.
Macaroons for Dessert
After we finished our lunch, we headed to the lovely bakery near our house to grab me my fave coconut cream pie. But they didn’t have it so I got me these macaroons instead that I took home.
As always, Corner Kitchen did not disappoint. From the food to the service…it was excellent. So it is still holding the top spot as our most favorite restaurant here in Asheville.

My husband would have loved what your hubby had and I would have enjoyed your dinner. Although David would have had the Coffee I would have asked for Sweet Tea although a lot of places don’t carry it. I just wish this restaurant was closer so we could visit it. Happy Mother Day to you.
