With the celebration of Valentine’s Day tomorrow, I have decided to round up some fun date ideas for you and your significant other. For me and the hubs, celebrating Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be expensive. It can still be meaningful even if it is spent in the most simple way. The most important thing is the fun that you two are having as well as the love that you both share.
So here are some fun date ideas for you to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
1) Have a Movie Marathon
Hubby scrolls through the cable channels and always has a lot of movies saved in our DVR and we watch one or a couple of them when we get a chance. You can do that or do it on Netflix. We also have Netflix so we have both those options.
2) Binge Watch your Favorite TV Show
Other than the movies, Hubby also saves all our favorite TV shows. And there are shows that we’ve watched on repeat after we’ve finished the final season.
3) Shop Around
Either you want to buy something or just window shop, both are really fun to do with your partner.
4) Have a Brunch
For a change, have a brunch instead of dinner at a wonderful restaurant. Or have a breakfast date or lunch date because restaurants are usually packed at dinner time on Valentine’s Day.
5) Grab Some Coffee
We are both coffeeholics so grabbing coffee at a nice coffee shop before going to eat brunch would be really nice.
6) Get Dessert Only
After brunch, go somewhere else to order a special dessert. Either you go to a bakery or an ice cream shop. This is actually what we did on our recent anniversary celebration.
7) Eat at a Food Truck
If Food Truck is your jam, that could be a nice way to get your food too instead of going to a restaurant.
8) Go to the Bookstore
Having a bookworm for a husband, this is really a great thing to do. I love reading too although I don’t read as much as he does. And there’s a bookstore here in Asheville that is also has a bar. You can have a drink or juice while reading a book
9) Take a Drive
Usually, after we go out to eat, we would drive around downtown just to look. We live in a beautiful city and doing it every time we are out never gets old. But if you live close to a scenic spot, you can do a scenic drive too.
10) Walk at the Lake
Love doing this especially when the day is gorgeous…sun shining and all. This is also a good way to burn those calories that you just filled your tummy with at that brunch. We love walking at Lake Louise.
11) Stay in Bed
But if you really don’t want to go out, staying in bed all day just binge watching movies or TV shows while eating the home-cooked meals and desserts that you two made would be awesome too.
12) Play a Game
Either a board game or a trivia game or even a card game. Whichever game you want to play because playing games is always fun.
13) Have a Karaoke Night
Now if you don’t want to play a game, how about singing to the top of your lungs instead. We love doing this back in my hometown. We actually had a karaoke night before leaving for the US the following day during our 2017 summer vacation.
14) Rent a Sports Car for a Day
Just for the experience, you know. I saw this online and I can’t help but giggle. One of my husband’s biggest dreams is driving a Dodge Challenger. Now if this thing is available here in the city, I would love to do this for him. I’ll just have to buckle up big time because he says he’s going to fly.
15) Exchange Heartfelt Gifts
And while you are enjoying any of those things, don’t forget the gift. Chocolates and flowers are the norm and I don’t mind receiving those. But for a change, get each other a meaningful gift instead. Something that would last and would remind you over and over even if years have already passed.

I love the ideas that you have here. My husband and I would love to have a binge watching my couch and just cuddle up together. That’s probably my favorite way to celebrate Valentines.

This year we will be three thousand miles apart give or take couple miles. We went out to dinner before I left so all is good. Some nice ideas.

These are some wonderful ideas of something’s to do for Valentine’s Day and they don’t all have to cost much either! I think we will probably end up having a movie night and a takeout perhaps, that’s what we normally seem to end up doing.

Great ideas for a different Valentine’s Day! We took a delicious dessert all together and had a lot of fun!

These are some great ideas for celebrating Valentine’s Day. Since the weather is usually bad here in February, we generally stay in. When the kids were younger we would have a fun dinner and some chocolate. This year I think we’re going to watch a movie at home.

These are all so lovely and inexpensive ways to have a wonderful date with that special someone.

Couldn’t agree more on the above listing! I, myself just preferred to stay at home since its too costly to go out plus there are so many people outside.
