One of my favorite pastimes is watching movies on TV. We have Cable so there are a lot of channels to check for movies to watch for free. And sometimes, we do purchase a movie to watch on PPV if we missed it at the theater.
I have a few all-time favorite movies and honestly, I can’t remember how many times I’ve watched these movies. These movies never get old to me and although I’ve seen them a million times, I will watch them over and over again in the future.
Here are a few of my all-time favorite movies.
Top Gun
Starring Tom Cruise.
This movie was shown in 1986 and it was a hit. I was still in elementary when this movie was shown, but I remember having Tom Cruise’s posters plastered to the wall in my bedroom that I shared with my sister. We both were huge fans of Top Gun and Tom Cruise’s face was all over our bedroom walls.
And now I am so looking forward to watching the sequel to Top Gun. I’ve heard that it’s going to come out next year.
Flashdance
Starring Jennifer Beals.
This movie was released in 1983, but I think I got to watch and enjoy it when I was in high school. I remember being fascinated by Jennifer Beals’ dance moves. And the soundtrack can’t be beat either. Love all the songs in this movie. One of the reasons why the 80’s is my favorite era in music.
I was so delighted to see Flashdance on On Demand in our cable. It’s been a while since I see it so I watched it again last week
Ghost
Starring Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze.
Released in 1990, I remember watching this film with my sister, my aunt and a neighbor at the first air-conditioned movie house in my hometown. The movie theater was packed when this movie was shown, but we were lucky to get us a seat.
I got to watched Ghost again last week too because it is available on On Demand’s movie to watch for free.
Gotta love our cable channel for showing these old movies. Sends me back to memory lane which is such a good thing.
How about you? Do you have a favorite movie that you’ve seen a million times too?

I am notorious with my friends for not having seen most movies. In the last few years I have been trying to catch up on all the classics that I have missed, and it looks like I now have 2 more to add to the watch list: Top Gun and Flashdance — never seen those before!

My favorite is Steel Magnolias. I cry every single time. Classic movies are always good to watch over and over again.

I do agree those movies never get old. Because I also like history and action/suspense, my movies that never get old are: Patton (historical perspective), The Hunt for Red October (I mean, who doesn’t love Sean Connery?), and Goldeneye (Pierce Brosnan made a great James Bond!)

I thought I was the only one who loved TopGun. It is fun to find movies you always can watch and don’t forget The Godfather.

I agree to all! I sometimes don’t think they make memorable films like these anymore. Another one that I love is Stand By Me.

I think my 12 yr old son has seen more movies than I have… I typically will watch and rewatch almost any movie that kept my interest once. I can’t say I have a favorite that I’ll watch over and over

It is hard to believe, but I’ve never seen Flashdance. My husband and I keep saying we need to watch it one day.
