Happy June! How is it June already? The year is almost halfway over. It’s the last full week of classes and exam week for our kiddo and he’s got mixed emotions because although he’s looking forward to summer, part of him is also going to miss school because of his classmates and friends. But with the days flying by so quick, summer will be gone before he knows it so I told him to just enjoy life.
A new month has begun so it’s time to look back on the past month and recap what we have shared on this little place of ours. Brace yourself for our May Recap. 🙂
Family & Fun
We love watching movies in our spare time. Good thing we have cable and Netflix so we have many options. But we do have our all time favorite movies. You know, those movies that you don’t get tired of watching over and over again even though you have already watched them a million times. I also shared what I’m currently up to as well as how I celebrated Mother’s Day with my boys.

I Love Food
I have my favorite dishes to prepare which you can see in a week’s meal plan that I shared. But although I have my favorites to prepare for my family, I am also open into trying new dishes all the time.
Travel, Explore & Learn
It was in May a few years ago when we visited Music City for a weekend. We saw a lot, but I know there is so much more to see there. We hope to go back one day soon. Visiting a battlefield was first for me my and son, but my husband had been there before. He’s hoping to take us to another battlefield soon: Gettysburg.
An Impromptu Trip to Antietam National Battlefield
Memorial Day
We just stayed home on Memorial Day and enjoyed some grilling. But we did travel to historical places during a Memorial Day weekend before and I shared them all on this post.
That’s a wrap!
How was your May?

School is out for summer here too. My kids felt a bit of the same, happy to leave the stresses and structure of school, but sad to leave friends. My seven year old even cried because he was going to miss his teacher.
